Hartland cottages

A haven for walkers and those looking for a bit of peace and quiet with fantastic scenery and a stunning coastline.

Set in a corner of North Devon, this remote and charismatic village offers so much to do for such a small settlement. Hartland Peninsula has been awarded the status of a National Landscape and it’s easy to see why whilst wandering along the shoreline of the Atlantic, or through the floral valleys and old world woodlands.

The village itself has craft shops and potteries as well as cafés and restaurants serving local produce. Not far away is Hartland Quay, which is perfect for rock pooling at low tide and plays host to the local Shipwreck Museum. Hartland Abbey and Gardens are well worth a visit for their wonderful woodland walks, and the donkeys and peacocks are always worth a look, especially if you have children coming along. If you’re looking for a bit more of a challenging walking route you may want to try The Coastal Heritage Walk, consisting of a 4-mile loop of footpaths, roads, rough terrain and steep pathways. Don't miss a day out to the lovely seaside harbour village of Clovelly either.

Our beautiful holiday cottages are dotted around this astounding area and include wooden lodges, stone barn conversions and spacious country houses. See the full selection below and click on your chosen cottage for more details.
