Cottages in Westward Ho!
Westward Ho! So good they gave it an exclamation mark! The place to go for great surf and vast expanses of clean, family and kite friendly open sands.
Westward Ho! provides everything any discerning British seaside holiday maker is looking for; from a variety of restaurants, great fish and chips as well as amusements, miles of golden sands and expansive waves with great surf thrown in. And of course, we must not forget to mention its fantastic access to the South West Coast Path, which offers some truly breathtaking walks, running routes and cycle paths which run around the Hartland Peninsula and out to Clovelly beyond. It is a destination for all the family.
Facing out across the Atlantic coast and named after the book ‘Westward Ho!’ by Charles Kingsley in the 1800’s, it has grown into a popular holiday destination and with its enviable situation, it’s clear to see why. Nestled between Hartland Point to the South and Saunton Sands to the North, it means its two miles of long and wide sandy beach, known as Golden Bay, can rival anywhere in the country.
For the wildlife enthusiast, Westward Ho! offers a fantastic base for exploring the diverse range of habitats found across the Northern Burrows. From saltmarsh to open grassland, there is a wealth of flora and fauna to be discovered as well as plenty of activities for children, from rockpool ramblings to guided nature walks.
We have a fabulous collection of cottages available to book in and around this popular holiday spot, ranging from decadent modern apartments to cosy seaside cottages and holiday chalets.
