Narracott Apartment 9 is a spacious, well-designed second floor apartment situated just a stone’s throw from the beach in Woolacombe. Sleeping four people, the apartment has an open-plan living space with a lounge, dining area and modern kitchen. There are patio doors leading out onto a balcony with outside furniture and a sideways view of the beach. The kitchen has plenty of maple units and a large granite work surface, whilst the dining table is a good size to accommodate the group together. Both of the bedrooms are well-furnished and have televisions with Freeview and DVD. The Double room has an en-suite shower room and the Twin room has the use of the family bathroom with a separate shower cubicle. Outside, the apartment has free allocated private parking for one car 500 yards away. The apartment is a very short walk to Woolacombe Beach which lies between Morte Point and Baggy Point. This three-mile long stretch of golden sand is renowned for its cleanliness, water quality and facilities. Lifeguards ensure safe swimming during the summer and surfers come from all over the country to enjoy the great waves and clean water. The beach has been voted the number 1 beach in the UK by Tripadvisor in 2015 & 2016. It also holds the ‘England for Excellence Gold Award’ for best family resort and was voted the Best British Beach in the Mail On Sunday. Woolacombe itself is a lively village with great pubs, restaurants and places to stay. It’s hard to pick a favourite from the ever-growing list, but for location and a totally unique experience alone it is hard to ignore Barricane Beach Café. On this sandy cove, just on the outskirts of the village, this wonderful beach café rustles up baguettes, wraps, jacket potatoes, cakes and coffees during the day, but come the evening the Café transforms itself into a Sri Lankan beach shack serving authentic homemade South Asian curry.

The property is modern as it forms part of the conversion from the old Narracott Grand Hotel into appartments. It is well appointed with two good bathrooms and two large bedrooms. It is in an excellent position, being close to restaurants, shops, beach etc. Guests need to be on their guard as there is astep down from the lounge area to the kitcheRead moren area which caught my wife out several times over the first two days causing her to fall. We resolved it by placing a chair on the step to act as an obstacle and a reminder. Also beware that the wooden bedframes are wider than the mattress and are painful on the shins if you are not very careful. We were a bit dissapointed that the outlook from the lounge was not a lovelly sea view, but a rather unattractive red brick building. The sea view is available, but only really from the very narrow balcony. We had a few operational issues when we first arrived relating to the operation of the central heating and the TV. It was very irritating that the owner was only prepared to communicate by text message. One simple phone call could have resolved our issues but I eventually gave up with the text messages and after two days found a way around the issues myself. Hide

Brilliant flat in a great location. Only a few minutes walk to the shops and beach...bit of a climb coming back though! The flat is very comfortable and has everything we needed. Little touches make it very homely.The TV reception was much improved on when we were there a year ago. I feel very at hom there and we will definitely be back again.

The property was ideally located in Woolacombe for the beach and all the amenities. Walking distance to the beach which saved an absolute fortune on car parking. The apartment was beautiful, it had everything that you needed for a holiday and was home from home. We absolutely loved staying in apartment number nine. Beautiful clean, spacious, well maintained and furnished to a high standard apartment. It was way above our expectations and just a short stroll to one of the best beaches in the country. We will definitely be back.
