Loved our stay at Lavender cottage. It had everything we needed and the beds are very comfy. The nearby playground was a hit with our kids. Botham's bakery a few mins walk down the road is great, and would recommend the River Caf gardens for a meal.

A lovely spotlessly clean, cosy and well-equipped cottage with easy parking even for a large car, and lots of thoughtful little details. The only drawback for us was the staircase which has a right angled bend half way up, and wouldnt be suitable for anyone frail or with mobility problems.

The cottage is very clean and tidy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed (we even cooked a Sunday roast). Although it's quite cosy there was still enough space for 2 adults and 2 young children. The location was perfect for us as we had planned to explore the coast and more inland North Yorkshire. Communication with the owner was brilRead moreliant and very helpful. There's a shop and a fish and chips within walking distance plus the fish and chips place does pizzas on a Monday. The cottage was in an ideal location with Whitby only a 10-15 minute drive and Scarborough roughly 30 minutes away. We had a lovely stay in the cottage and the welcome pack was a lovely touch from the owners. A bus into Whitby runs past the cottage if you don't fancy driving.
