Twitten is the perfect base for a seaside holiday, being just moments away from both the beach and the High Street boutiques and restaurants. The cottage oozes nautical charm, with blue and cream tones throughout. The small but cleverly laid out sitting room is a great place to curl up with a book after a busy day sightseeing. The cottage is in a good position, the stairs are very steep and not suitable for someone with mobility issues, the bedroom with the double bed is very small and not easy to move around.

Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. Very comfortable. It really is small though! We were two adults and a young teen and gave teen the double bedroom as no space for our bags or for us to move around.

My wife and my young daughter stayed at this house for a couple of nights in July. Please consider very carefully before staying here as there are both minor and major signifcsny issues that need addressing by the owner, please see some key points below which we have flagged for reference: 1. Taps in bathroom are falling apart, tops keep fallingRead more off, needs urgent replacement. 2. Shower very poor, and again needs replacement. 3. Main bedroom is too small, there is simply not even enough room to open the wardrobe ???! 4. Where are the fans?? Please supply upstairs and downstairs. 5. Where is the microwave?? Your guestbook in the house states its there?? This is a basic amenity and was badly missed. If you no longer supply this (which is appalling if you dont), then you guest book needs updating? 6. The welcome pack didnt arrive until the second day of our stay, why was there a delay?? 7. The area outside the house needs huge improvements, the bushes by the door are hopelessly overgrown and they dont look like theyve been maintained or shaped in the last decade? 8. The kitchen table is not fit to sit 4 people as your house claims to sleep. 9. Upon arrival, the key box was token and not locked as your expect? Why was it left open from a security perspective this was poor. 10. The outside area in therms of window sills and front door plus brick way outside the front door desperately needs painting. It simply does not look like anyone has done any basic maintenance on this aspect in many many years, which is a real shame and disappointment. 11. Given what I have said about this property represents incredibly poor value for money and the only advantage to staying at this property is the central location. 12. Due to very little space in each bedroom particularly the main bedroom it meant that we had no option but to attempt to get ready on the one slightly larger staircase in between both bedrooms, this meant that you had to be incredibly careful that you didnt fall down the very steep staircase. This is a huge safest aspect and for older people will present significant challenges. Given what Ive have said above and having stayed in many other houses in southwold over many many years, we would suggest that until you address the above fundamental points you urgently review how much you are charging to stay at your property. Response from Holiday Cottages - We take all feedback very seriously and the description clearly states the cottage is a compact and cosy property. The maintenance issues have been addressed. Hide

Comfortable cottage in a brilliant location. Perfect for the two of us but a bit small if there were more people. We enjoyed the garden but it needs some TLC.

The cottage is in a great location but is very small, fine for a couple but any more would struggle. A few bits of maintenance needed too.

A little cottage which was fine for us two fit people (steep narrow stairs). All very pleasant and tucked away near Adnams and the lighthouse. Conveniently situated and very nice for a last minute three night getaway. A pleasing and charming place.

Excellent location for town and beach. Cottage small and though it can sleep4, would be better suited to 2 and a child.Impossible to sit 4 round kitchen table without a lot of removal constantly. Stairs are narrow and steep, so need to be sure footed . Otherwise clean and comfortable.
