A pretty beachside bolthole just a stone’s throw from the sea! Pilots House is in the coastal town of Aldeburgh, close to the shops and pubs.

This striking bay fronted holiday home is over two floors offering cosy family accommodation for four guests. The two bedrooms are upstairs, beautifully furnished with plenty of storage space and lovely views. The living accommodation is on the ground floor- the sitting room has a couple of comfortable sofas and a feature brick fireplace housing a gas effect wood burning stove (perfect for the cooler months) and a dining table and chairs in the bay window. The cottage style kitchen has all the usual appliances including a dishwasher and a washer dryer. A lovely feature of this room are the French doors which open up onto a pretty enclosed courtyard garden, a lovely place to sit and relax at any time of day…

Aldeburgh is the quintessential seaside town on the Suffolk coast with stylish shops, cafes, delis and prom. Be sure to pick up some fish and chips and picnic on the beach!

The area has some great cycling and walking routes and trails so there’s something for everyone… look out for Maggi Hambling’s iconic Scallop Shell on your travels.

Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. The blinds in the sitting room window do not work. They cannot be lifted down and the main blind cannot be opened or closed. The storage in the double bedroom is woeful. There is just a hanging rail in a cupboard with a four drawer narrow set of drawers. One of the drawers had clothing in it. About half the cupboard was filled with spare duvetsRead more, sheets, tea towels and some oven gloves. Hide

Could not fault this cottage. Great village and cottage location right on the high street opposite best ice cream parlour and down from best fish and chips. Very short walk to beach and total relaxation. All necessary facilities in the cottage and a lovely welcome pack. Thank you for letting us stay.

Lovely comfortable cottage in the heart of beautiful Aldebrough town. We were grateful for the lovely welcome pack and the home comforts. We will be rebooking again next year. We live in France and it was the perfect place to meet up and spend the day with friends. Loved it.

A lovely cottage on the High Street, very close to restaurants, pubs, shops and only a few minutes walk to the beach. Very quiet, despite being on the High Street. We will be staying here again.
