Nearby Barnstaple is well worth a visit - it is a charming place that comfortably blends a handsome past with an energetic, present-day buzz. Granary Cottage is a great place to stay to discover N.Devon. We were very relaxed and comfortable. The cottage is well appointed, clean, quiet and has a lovely enclosed garden leading down to a small river. Table, chairs and a picnic bench complete the outdoor experience. The owners live close by and are very friendly. Had we needed anything, I'm Read moresure they would have done everything to help. We thoroughly recommend and will definitely book again when we come back to the area. Thank you for making our stay so lovely. Hide

Lovely cottage and very comfortable. A good location for exploring north Devon. Helpful owners nearby suggested nice places to visit. The Jack Russell pub is a short stroll away but do note that it's closed on Mondays / Tuesdays. We'd left it too late to book for dinner on New Year's eve or 1 Jan - hopefully another time!

Lovely cottage in a pretty village and having the garden by the stream would have been lovely in the summer. Plenty of space and well equipped with comfortable furnishings and we had a lovely week here. Very handy and quick walk to the pub which was very welcoming and served good food.

Very quaint and comfortable cottage with good parking and garden. Sadly the weather meant we couldn't enjoy the garden overlooking the river but the visiting pheasants provided entertainment. Kitchen well equipped, good quality furniture and modern bathroom. Efficient heating. Lovely cream tea provided. Very quiet location.
