A stone patio, located at the rear of the property, has high-quality garden furniture, a large BBQ and is sheltered, meaning guests can enjoy dining al fresco come rain or shine.

From the patio and through the sliding glass doors is Lake Farm Barn’s living space. Spacious and light, guests will be met by floor to ceiling windows, original beams and tasteful interior. For the colder months, the statement wood burner is a welcomed asset, along with underground heating that runs through the holiday home. Lovely host. Amazing garden. Very well equipped kitchen. Gorgeous barn conversion. I didn't read the details quite well enough, there's one shower, and one bath with handheld shower that you can't stand up with, which meant more of us trying to use the same bathroom, but other than that it was perfect.

Excellent accommodation with beautiful views. Very spacious, we were a party of 4 adults and there was plenty of room, in fact with 3 bedrooms and 3 WC's a party of 6 would be easily accommodated. Its not far from the seaside and there were plenty of NT properties in the area so we were able to enjoy plenty of day trips.

Lake Farm Barn was absolutely perfect for our requirements and we loved everything about it. Our party consisted of two retired couples, my 94-year old mother and our 12.5 year old dog; travelling up from Surrey. The property was carefully chosen on account of geographical location (proximity to family in the Ipswich area, and not too far Read morefrom Harwich and Dovercourt where my mum mum grew up and met my father), rural setting with beautiful views, visible and enjoyable in all weathers in comfort from indoors (for my mums benefit) and of course, allowing dogs. We particularly loved the open garden and lake which was very pleasant to walk and sit around, especially in the early morning and evening sun. The hosts, Colin and Deb, were lovely and ensured everything was in order. We also loved the area as, despite the Ipswich family link, we were not familiar with this part of Suffolk and were pleasantly surprised how much there was to see and do within a short drive from the property. Our activity schedule was restricted by my mums needs and our family diary but we managed to do and see a fair bit of the area during our stay, particular highlights being a paddleboard and kayak trip upstream from Cattawade and a sunny evening trip to Shotley Marina, eating at The Shipwreck. We definitely hope to return to discover the area more fully another time and would not hesitate to recommend both the accommodation and area. Hide

Weve just had a fabulous week at Lake Farm Barn. The peace and quiet is wonderful and theres so much wildlife around. Ducks, rabbits, foxes, woodpeckers, deer, the list goes on. The beds are really comfortable, as are the sofas, and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Thank you Debs and Colin, I do hope we can come again one day.
