Cliff House is a beautiful Georgian house in a prominent position on the sea-front with only the pavement between the house and the sea! It has been modernised, retaining all of its original features to make an easy and comfortable home. Shop: 100 yards Pub: 50 yards.

Garden: There is a small, well laid out garden to the front with seating. At the rear of the property there is a large walled patio garden with seating.

Southwold Pier Area - It is often said that nothing changes in Southwold. However, the much-acclaimed pier was rebuilt in 2001 and was the first to be constructed in England in over fifty years. It now fits in well with the painted beach huts, promenade and colourful flowerbeds. There is a shop, cafes and an alternative amusement arcade there. The selection of properties' hereabouts makes it an ideal location to stay in Southwold if you require quiet accommodation that is also close to the beach, town centre and the many footpaths across the marshes leading you to the less explored areas of the town.

Cliff house is the perfect location for a stay in Southwold. It has all the amenities you could need and stunning views of the beach. Theres plenty of comfortable seating and the property is thoughtfully arranged, a really lovely stay, thank you.

A lovely house situated in the prime spot in Southwold. Ideally situated for access to all parts and really well appointed in terms of equipment, furnishings and decor.

Cliff House never disappoints Its proximity to the sea is pretty much unrivalled in beautiful Southwold leaving you spoilt with wonderful panoramic views and majestic sunrises!

A lovely house with the best views in Southwold. Well appointed with all the necessary modern equipment, close to the town centre, the pier and the wonderful Lord Nelson pub.

We noticed in the property there was a strange smell. Also in the guests comment book one of the past guests mentioned that were Carpet Moths, upon research it states Carpet Moths can have a musty unpleasant smell. While staying at the property i experienced issues with my breathing. This increased during my stay. I researched Carpet Moths and Read morethis was, a symptom from them. We reported the Carpet Moths to the Southwold Office in person on Monday 21 July 2025. We were told we would be contacted in the week of our stay, this did not happen. As we hadn't heard anything by Wednesday 23 July 2025, we went back to the office and it was shut. So we went back to the office on Thursday 24 July 2025. We were told that someone was investigating it on the Friday 25 July 2025 the day we were departing. This isn't good enough, we paid a lot of money for the property and this issue spoiled our stay. We had a lovely welcome bag and the sea-view was wonderful to wake up to. The beds were very comfortable. It is a shame the Carpet Moths were not addressed sooner. The guests book comments should be checked and any outstanding matters dealt with. Due to this issue we should be given compensation. We would recommend this property to a friend if the carpets were replaced. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. You couldn't get a better placed property in Southwold. Absolutely delightful. Expect steep steps to the bedrooms though!

The property is spacious and comfortable and is perfectly positioned on the seafront, close to all the amenities. Probably one of the best views of Southwold. Bedrooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable. Fully fitted kitchen with all the necessary equipment. This is a super house/cottage. Placement is fabulous, and it is well appointed and stocked with equipment. The price for a week is exorbitant, and I was interested to talk to locals this year who said while some owners are seeking to drop their prices as they are not getting fully booked, some agencies are not agreeing to do that. This is an issRead moreue for owners and agencies, but if bookings are not being fully taken up, it would seem sensible to rationalise charges a bit to improve the situation for all parties including guests. The cost hasnt stopped me rebooking for next year, but it likely will in future years. Hide
