A modest and comfortable holiday home from home, Waterside Cottage is nestled in a row of 200 year old properties tucked away in the small village of Westleigh and close to the coast at Instow. The cottage is right in the centre of the village which although tiny, boasts a popular Inn and a church dating back to the 11th century. The nearby 'Tarka Trail' provides over 30 miles of flat car-free cycling and walking through glorious Devon countryside and visitors can follow the trail to the beach just a mile away. Across the river the pretty fishing village of Appledore is well-worth exploring and the port town of Bideford lies two miles south west. The wide sandy surfing beach at Westward Ho! is within 15 minutes' drive and a golf course and activity centre are within easy access for active guests. Retaining many characterful features, such as low ceilings, Waterside Cottage has two bedrooms both with Victorian fireplaces and the spacious double bedroom has views over the estuary. A cosy beamed lounge with an electric log burner, kitchen and bathroom, all traditionally furnished throughout, complete the accommodation.
