Accomodation is in Central location so ideal for beach, shops, pub and local walks. Pub being just a door away, was perfect and surprisingly we didn't hear any noise from it. We also managed to park car outside, which was a positive.

The cottage is well situated with easy access to the beach for long walks & plenty of fresh air. This time of year it lovely for dog walks as access to the beach is unlimited, in the summer months I would think it's a nightmare with a dog as there are restrictions on where dogs can go. The cottage it's self is well maintained & comfy & in January iRead moret's nice & cosy. For a week away we both loved it so many places nearby to visit also. We do think as a couple of an older age that we should point out that access to both bedrooms upstairs is up a tight stairwell. If trying to use this stairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom which is downstairs it can be rather difficult. In this day & age of communication & streaming services a good broadband is accentual but as it stands the one at present doesn't have this capability. Hide

A really cute and quaint little cottage - nicely decorated and well equipped. The main bedroom upstairs was particularly pretty with exposed beams. The fan was a welcomed addition as it was used most nights (the second fan in the twin bedroom needs repairing as the blades bang into the caging). Although the garden is enclosed and a very nice sun tRead morerap, it is worth noting that the cottage next door has access to their garden via the side gate and through the garden of the cottage. The BBQ was brilliant and used well throughout our stay. Having the garage space around the corner was a great added bonus and fits a VW Golf in well (anything bigger would be a very tight squeeze). Location could not be better: literally everything on the doorstep! Although only two doors away from the pub, where customers gather outside, there was no problem with noise. An excellent holiday accommodation and would recommend! Thank you Horseshoe Cottage. Hide

Great little cottage in fantastic location seconds away from the beach. Comfortable beds and very quiet at night. If we couldnt park directly outside then used free unlimited stay Common car park which has 47kw EV charger. Few mins walk away as was the garage. Enjoyed our stay.

An excellent property which is rather compact so if 4 adults stayed there you would need to be good friends! Central location so its great for shops, pubs and the beach. Private patio and bbq out the back which we made full use of. Happy to recommend it.

We have spent a wonderful week in a beautiful cottage, weather perfect, gardens a delight. We had a few problems at the beginning of the week - ie shower in the Stable, TV in the lounge and key to the back door missing. However, Suffolk Secrets and their local team responded immediately and resolved them...Southwold [is] the perfect seaside place.
