We loved our week stay at the Crows nest. We have visited a couple of times already as we love the location and quietness. The farmer is lovely and always comes up to meet us for chat which is really nice. The cottage is lovely and a great size for the two of us and there are so many amenities. Dishwasher, gas hob, gas oven, microwave and an Read moreair fryer which was a lovely additional from last time we visited. We also had use of our own personal hot tub which is in a hut to the side of the cottage and the farmer maintained on a daily basis for us. We are already looking at booking again for next year. Thank you. Hide

Our stay at The crows nest exceeded our expectation. Its very well equipped with washing machine / dish washer / airfryer and the private use / sheltered hot tub a welcome soak after a hard days walking. The plates / cups etc are quality and the kitchen well equipped. Location. It is remote, quiet and sitting out with a beverage just hearing biRead morerds and sheep total bliss. Theres a pub, shops and restaurants a short drive away. Not in walking distance. There is a 3.5 lovely walk you can do from the house. As you are centrally located we had a wonderful week a mix of walking, hiring bikes. You can hire SUPs or kayaks on Wimbleball lake 30 mins away. We did coastering at Hele bay and sea kayaking in the south coast. You need a car. Its remote. Its wonderfully quiet. You cant walk to restaurants/pubs. WiFi is ok. Phone signal good. Hide

Ideally located if you just want to recharge and to have peace and quite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Superb views across the valley from the cottage and the hot tub.You may get the odd interruption from birds and distant sheep and cattle, but generally its you, the view and the wind in the trees! There is also a bonus as you may see deeRead morer appear out of the near wood land. The only down side, is the drive up Cove Hill Road to the destination, as this road becomes very narrow, the width of a car and it like that for about 1.5 miles. Best way we found was to use the Bolham Road from Tiverton and then take the Old Tiverton Road towards Bampton, which takes you round the back of Knighthayes. Hide

Fabulous views. Spotlessly clean and well equipped kitchen. Great to have an air fryer. Lovely shower. Be prepared for narrow single track lanes to get in and out and little or no WiFi. Very peaceful location. Hot tub was a great bonus. Owner was really helpful and friendly.

One of the best cottages in the UK we've had the pleasure to stay. Located perfectly for some countryside peace and quiet and a short drive away from lots of great walks in the Exmoor National Park. Wonderful views to the surrounding hillside while relaxing in the hot tub, regardless of the weather as it's covered. The owner was happy to stopRead more and chat when we saw him and even gave us a little history of the farm. I would definitely recommend planning some local walks straight from the cottage, especially a beautiful circular taking in Huntsham and its lake. If you're a runner and like me you enjoy some runs while on hols then be prepared for the toughest first 400m you'll probably ever experience. The climb from the bottom of the hillside the cottage is based begins steep and then gets steeper. My lungs will testify to this :-) Hide

Excellent location and the views are amazing. Lovely to be able to look out across the hills whilst relaxing in the hot tub. Property well equipped and very comfortable, although it would be helpful to have a few more mugs and glass tumblers. Wi-Fi a little hit and miss but to be expected given the location of the property.
