Just down the coast are several superb sandy beaches and the beautiful coastal path with its spectacular rugged coastline can be reached by walking through the town.  At the top of the town will be found the historic and interesting Elizabethan manor house of Prideaux Place, home of the Prideaux-Brune family, which is open to visitors during the season.

A very quiet position in a residential area, with a short walk down a traffic free path to town. Stunning views of the Camel estuary, with the sand banks appearing and disappearing with the tides. Tesco nearby. Additional parking on the road if you nab it in the evening, this makes it easier if you have two cars. Ferry to Rock is useful for the SWCRead moreP, and regular buses to Newquay (56). We love staying at Porthilly View. The location is truly fabulous. The property itself is a little tired and could do with some modernisation eg the bathroom. The pots/pans are burned and the sofa is rather uncomfortable. That being said, the location and view do make up for these things and we will no doubt return one day.

Stunning views, great location. Furniture could do with updating especially the sofas, would be quite cramped for more than 4 adults. The parking on the drive was a surprise as it was very steep and some cars that are lower to the ground might struggle and make sure you have a good hand break!

We have stayed at 9 Porthilly View many times and will no doubt stay there again. Its main attractions are the view, the location and the parking. These count for a lot in Padstow. The property is reasonably comfortable. Recent renovations - a partially replaced kitchen and some new appliances - are very welcome. But otherwise, the property isRead more a bit tired - particularly the bathroom. It also needs some new crockery to replace the chipped stuff and pans to replace burnt ones. Hide

Lovely location and views. Bathroom slightly tired considering the price. No games or puzzles. Bin info/magazines all over year out of date. Would recommend solely for views but price does not reflect the tiredness of property.
