Meadowcroft is a sunny traditional, typical 1870's Cornish terraced cottage set in a quieter location in the popular historic conservation area West Looe Hill.

Just a couple of minutes walk from the oldest pub in Looe, two convenience stores and the Quay. The cottage has been maintained and is presented to an excellent standard and provides a traditional comfortable feel whilst retaining its original charm including wooden floors (downstairs), white washed walls and quirky rear enclosed courtyard area. Located in the sought after and quieter area of West Looe, it is at the same time very convenient for all the pubs, shops beach and amenities. Meadowcroft Cottage boasts accommodation set on 3 floors by way of ground floor: relaxing and comfortable lounge, modern kitchen/diner 1st floor king size bedroom and modern bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle, 2nd floor (built into the huge loft space), twin bedroom with tv/dvd. To the rear of the cottage there is a small enclosed rear courtyard, accessed directly from the kitchen. West Looe Quay is approximately 3 minutes walk, where you can try crabbing or watch the fishermen sort their catch. A boat taxi (tide permitting) can take you across to East Looe Quay, where you can book a coastal cruise, lie on the long sandy beach, take a glass bottom boat trip, fishing trip or for those feeling more adventurous, there's always a speed boat ride! Alternatively, you can walk the level harbourside 5 minute walk round to the east side. Meadowcroft Cottage sleeps 4.

Meadowcroft Cottage is a traditional ex Fisherman's Cottage located in the quieter area of West Looe, providing peace and quiet, yet enviably close to the amenities, pubs and convenience stores less than a 3 minute walk away. Once at the harbour you can watch the fishermen at work, perhaps take a quick boat taxi across to East Looe (tide permitting) where shops, pubs and restaurants are aplenty, along with East Looe's sandy beach and Banjo Pier. If you decide to walk to East Looe from the harbour, this will take 5 minutes with harbourside views all the way! Meadowcroft is around 40 minutes drive from the city of Plymouth, approximately 1 hour 15 mins drive from the Cornish city of Truro and approximately 45 minutes drive from the famous Eden Project. The cottage provides a comfortable and quiet base to explore our many Cornish sights.

We recently stayed at this seaside cottage and overall, it was a pleasant experience, though there are some aspects worth noting. The location is fantastic, with two convenient stores nearby, making it easy to pick up any essentials you might need during your stay. The property itself is charming, with a lovely, spacious, and bright bathroom that'sRead more a real highlight. However, parking is definitely an issue, especially if youre staying for an extended period. The designated car park mentioned in the joining instructions is about a 15-20 minute walk from the cottage, depending on where you manage to find a spot. This can be quite inconvenient, particularly if youre carrying luggage or groceries as the stop just outside by the post box is often not an option. Additionally, if you park overnight, youre looking at around 10 per day, which can add up quickly if youre there for two weeks or more. The kitchen is functional but basic, offering only some simple pots and pans, so if youre planning to cook elaborate meals, you might find it a bit limiting. The living room is cosy, though the TV could be positioned betterif youre sitting at the far end of the sofa, you might find yourself craning your neck to get a good view. Lastly, the staircase is quite steep, which wasnt a problem for us, but its something to consider if you have mobility issues. In summary, this cottage is in a great location and has some lovely features, but be prepared for the parking situation and a few minor inconveniences. Hide
