This comfortable and homely cottage is situated in a very peaceful mews close to Walmer Castle and the seafront with local shops, restaurants and pubs close by. The cottage comfortably sleeps three and has a nautical theme with lovely old pictures of sailing ships and unusual maritime pieces. The larger town of Deal is only a mile away with its pretty conservation area, independent artisan shops and a great choice of good places to eat, plus the lovely pier for a stroll to enjoy the sea air. There is a mainline railway station both at Walmer and Deal with services to London and the Channel port of Dover. This area is great for coastal walks and popular for rowing and dinghy sailing, you can also still buy your fish straight from the beach at some of the old fishermen's shacks. Shop: 500 yards  Pub x 2: both within 200 yards Coast: 100 yards

We quite liked this place. The location is great, the neighbours were friendly and theres a couple of local shops and takeaways nearby. Its about a 30 min walk to the centre of Deal. It is like staying in someones house rather than being styled as a purpose holiday rental. Theres a lot of personal belongings, a few cobwebs, old furniture and some gRead morerubby paintwork and peeling paint for example but the kitchen/diner is spacious and well equipped, the main bed is reasonably comfortable and the hot water and towels are all good. Some small maintenance issues, a deep clean and a tidy up wouldnt hurt but nothing significant. The main thing is that everything worked and instructions were provided. We enjoyed our stay here. Lovely comfortable well equipped cottage close to the sea at Walmer. Excellent connections by bus to all areas just a short walk from the door. We self catered most of the week and found everything we needed with good shops in Deal. Excellent fresh fish available. Overall a very relaxing enjoyable experience.

The kitchen in the cottage was extremely well equipped and cosy. TV wasnt the best. The neighbours were very friendly and welcoming to The Mews. The lack of any eateries within easy walking distance was disappointing although The Stag Inn welcomed visitors and encouraged bringing in food to eat there we did this on a couple of occasions with fishRead more & chips. Me, my husband and our 8 year old loved our stay at this cottage. It had everything we needed, including parking right outside. It was also in a perfect location- about a 20 minute walk to Deal centre, and a couple of minutes walk to be on the sea front. There are a few cafes, shops and pubs nearby as well. The cottage does have a peculiar smell, other guests left comments in the book about it too. Appreciate it probably comes from the antiques but it is initially arresting.

Really good stay in lovely cottage. Comfortable, well equipped, quiet neighbourhood, easy parking and close to beach. The front garden is a morning sun trap and ideal for relaxing. The cottage at 4 Cambridge mews deal made me ill all week as from the moment we stepped inside there was an overpowering fusty smell, it was there all week and it affected my chest as I have asthma , we had to have the windows open while in the house, we noticed some problems with damp, the furniture was very low for us as we have bad backs but Read morehey we managed. We were extremely pleased with this delightful mews cottage which had everything (and more) that we could want. It is situated in a very quiet mews and very close to the beach. We had a little blip with the central heating but spoke to the owner who was extremely helpful and arranged for a plumber to call in about an hour. The cottage was lovely and very comfortable. The location is fabulous, just a few minutes walk from the beach. The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom, whilst small had a good size shower and the bed was comfortable. Overall we really liked the cottage.

Pretty, comfortable & very well appointed cottage. It was also really helpful to have a dedicated parking space & the property was just a 5 minute walk to the sea. Walmer & Deal are great places to stay, both in themselves & being close to so many lovely places on the Kent coast.

Excellent location close to the seafront and within walking distance of a few local shops and cafes. Deal is very close and the place for supermarkets and more amenities.
