Southwold Pier Area - It is often said that nothing changes in Southwold. However, the much-acclaimed pier was rebuilt in 2001 and was the first to be constructed in England in over fifty years. It now fits in well with the painted beach huts, promenade and colourful flowerbeds. There is a shop, cafes and an alternative amusement arcade there. The selection of properties' hereabouts makes it an ideal location to stay in Southwold if you require quiet accommodation that is also close to the beach, town centre and the many footpaths across the marshes leading you to the less explored areas of the town

This cottage is in a fabulous position with a much needed parking space close to the pier. The majority of pubs, restaurants and attractions are a short walk allowing the car to remain parked. The flat is well appointed and comfortable to sit and relax, eat meals and sleep. Bath is small but functional but has an excellent shower. The flat does noRead moret have WiFi or a dishwasher. This would be a great asset. As mentioned before, the property needs a good clean. Main areas are fine but a lot of corners and edges of the room are missed. I would certainly be interested in staying again, but would want an assurance that the flat was clean. Hide

Spacious accommodation with views of the pier and sea front. Location was good as only a short walk to town centre. Kitchen was sufficiently equipped for a short stay although we didnt use the oven, grill or microwave so unable to comment further on these items.

The apartment was spacious, light, and had excellent views. It was let down badly by the cleanliness, particularly the kitchen. Some of the kitchenware was greasy and needed a good wash before use.

We had a great stay in this flat as a family of four. It was clean, warm, comfortable, spacious and had a superb location in this family-friendly town. Very useful to have an allocated parking space. Flat had comfortable beds, good curtains/blinds for darkness, plenty of tea towels (no dishwasher) and great shower pressure! Nice to be able to sit iRead moren the window and watch the world go by. Minor downside was lack of space to put your own things away, especially in the kitchen. No real welcome pack: two 125ml milks and four sachets of BBQ sauce and 1.5 loo roll. Overall, we would definitely recommend this flat. Hide

We have stayed at Sea View several times and love its location only a short walk to the sea and the pier. The flat is very comfortable and clean and has everything you need during your stay. The only issue we had was not receiving the Welcome Pack when we arrived which was disappointing. We did report this and one was delivered to us later in our Read morestay but it would have been nice to have it on arrival and not have to ask for it. Hide

A comfortable, clean place with excellent views and great location. Our first visit to Southwold which had left us feeling the need to be back. The flat decor has been chosen tastefully showing artistic expressions of this seaside haven. A small map of the town could improve the first days of new comers but we discovered the town easily the hill aRead morelong the promenade and wandered adventurously back using the backstreets. A wifi connection will definitely entice a longer stay next time. Otherwise, generally a great place to be and will certainly recommend. Hide

We have just returned from sea view after 4 lovely nights at the property. It was like home from home. Perfect location, lovely apartment and of course we were lucky enough to have had great weather. Would defo stay there again

Loved the location and view from the flat. Perfect for a family of small children (or older ones). Lovely to sit by the window and watch the world go by. Do note that no towels are provided. Lovely positioned, comfortable, peaceful apartment. We love it here. Bring your own toilet rolls as strangely these are not supplied! The letting agents don't answer emails so not sure what happens if there's a problem. Seems a bit hit and miss on whether you get a welcome pack, we did last time but sadly not this time, shame as its good quality Read moreproduce. But wouldn't put us off staying again. Hide

Great location and access by keysafe. Parking space in front of the garage. Sea views from most windows. This is the first time I've stayed in a holiday cottage and never had a welcome pack with a few essentials. It would've been nice to have a little tea/coffee/milk etc. Only 1 toilet roll was left for us. No WiFi (which is advertised), but wRead moree couldn't even get an Internet signal at all unless we stood right in the bay window facing the pier. Shame that there were no games, books etc. Would probably return if we visited Southwold again. Hide

The lounge was a great place to relax after a day out, the sofas were really comfortable. I cant answer the question re recommending as it would depend on the master bedroom mattress to be changed. Also the floor in the apartment had a very sticky floor which we think was due to the varnish not set properly? Thank you for your review. Brilliant location for the beach and pier. Short walk to the town. Amazing views from the flat. Excellent 5G network so no WiFi not a problem. Would definitely stay again.

A nice property, very clean and well equipped in a nice area adjacent to the Pier. Not to far from the centre of Southwold. Easy parking at the property which is nice. Negatives were no welcome pack, only 1 toilet roll, no books or board games. Would recommend though.
