The property is on National Cycle route 81, is well-placed for some excellent circular walks and convenient for golf, gardens, Montgomery and Powis castles.
Suitable also for less able visitors, Barn 1 comprises a fitted kitchen and good-sized living room with an electric stove, TV, DVD & CD player and patio doors to the small patio and lawned area to the front. Double bedroom and single bedroom (sofa bed in living room) and a wet room. The cottage has a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and wood and slate tiled floors with underfloor heating.
Berriew has two good pubs serving meals, excellent cafe, a couple of shops, tennis courts, sculpture museum and nearby Glansevern Gardens. Welshpool has leisure centre with swimming pool, Powis Castle and steam railway to Llanfair Caereinion. Excellent walking in the area, including the Severn Way (along the River Severn and Montgomery Canal) and Kerry Ridgeway.
