This is really a fantastic place to stay in mid Devon. The north and south coast lines are about 40 12:55 hour away if you drive. The owner is very friendly and was around to give us hints and tips. The view from this property is spectacular. I really highly recommend it.

We loved our stay in the Geering, beautiful views across the valley and very well kept grounds. The owner Aubrey and his mum were so warm and friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was perfect.

Unfortunately the original booking was cancelled due to the owners Ill health, I was called by a lovely lady who explained and apologised and mentioned that some others were available and a link sent or we could choose our own ( the link was pretty useless as most of the properties were for the week before our holiday was booked, this was a waste oRead moref time and no help at all). I luckily found The Gearing, this was fabulous, the setting beautiful, the property built to a really high standard,. The owners are the loveliest people, always smiling, about if needed but not intrusive in the slightest. Gilbert was always close by and was never too busy for a chat This is a working farm too so was fabulous seeing the sheep being herded up to be sheared, lovely walks in the area and really peaceful. We will hopefully return again soon. Hide
