With several boat hire companies on the "doorstep" there is an excellent opportunity to hire a day boat for exploring the Broads and rivers. Sea Palling beach has regularly been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag award and offers plenty of activities such as windsurfing, canoeing/kayaking and jet-skiing safe bays for swimming. Along the coast Horsey is well worth a visit especially visiting the beach and the local seal colony. The house itself is a luxurious mix of old and new with beamed rooms, an inglenook fireplace along with a modern well equipped kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Ludham is a pretty Broadland village with a splendid flint church, picturesque tea room, good village shop and pub. There are excellent walks from Ludham along both the rivers Ant and Thurne and at nearby Hunters Yard, boating enthusiasts can hire an authentic 1930's sailing yacht, whilst How Hill and the National Nature Reserve of Ludham & Potter Heigham Marshes all have lovely riverside walks. The east coast beaches are all within easy reach for watersports, family days out and bracing walks or why not take the family to a treehouse, via jungle bridges and zip wire runs in the 50 acres of Bewilderwood at Hoveton.
