Unless you stay in a sandcastle, you can't get much closer to the beach than Spindrift. The property has been carefully designed to take full advantage of the views enjoyed from its stunning location on the very edge of Croyde Bay. A short walk takes you inland to the heart of Croyde offering shops, restaurants, and pubs. Three well presented bedrooms and the main bathroom are all downstairs, while the best views from the first floor have been saved for the reception rooms. The main bedroom has its own bathroom with an en-suite and patio doors onto the enclosed decking area overlooking the beach. Upstairs, the open plan living room enjoys a contemporary feel with leather sofas, oak floors and a huge television with surround sound. Patio doors open on to a balcony there is an outside staircase down to the terrace. The fully equipped kitchen/diner has a vaulted ceiling, gloss units and a slate floor.
Croyde beach is rated as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. There is an RNLI lifeguard service available every day from May to September, during the Easter weekend, every weekend in October and during the October half term. If you like rock pooling, head to each end of the beach. And for walkers, there are several footpaths around the village and up to Baggy Point where you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. This whole area is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest for its geological features. Croyde has plenty of places to hire wet suits, surf boards, canoes and fishing equipment. A short drive takes you to Barnstaple, which is the commercial and agricultural centre of North Devon. It is a charming place that comfortably blends a handsome past with an energetic, present-day buzz. It has a mix of cutting-edge retail outlets, long-established family owned stores and little boutiques
