From the moment we walked in the door, we fell in love with the cottage. Its cosy and comfortable and in an amazing location. The welcome basket was exceptional and overall the cottage is very well equipped. Cooking on the range was a bit of an adventure, but not difficult once we got the hang of it. Everything was clean and tidy and the showerRead more was lovely (we had no problem with low water pressure as someone else commented). The stairs are VERY steep and I wouldnt recommend it for young children or anyone with mobility issues, plus my husband kept banging his head on the back door and when coming downstairs. But we would definitely stay here again Hide

Lovely two night stay in a central location to Rye that made everything in the town very accessible. Cosy downstairs tv room that made cold evenings with the family completely enjoyable.

The cottage was lovely but needs a bit of TLC. The bath was chipped. The cooker door has no handle and the bed wasn't too comfortable possibly due to the uneven floors. One of the stair rails had also come loose making it a little unsafe on the staird

Cottage was in a great location, had a historic charm, and had lots of nice decoration and artwork. However it was let down by several issues: 1) poor maintenance - appliances, hooks, beds, cupboards etc needed a lot of updating; 2) not being cleaned thoroughly - lots of spiders and cobwebs, dusty skirting boards etc; 3) very poor water pressure toRead more the point that the shower was useless and we resorted to baths. It was a great place to stay, very adorable cottage. We did not expect it to be so central. The instructions were clear. Upon arrival, we found lots of recommendation on local areas etc. We would definitely book it again.

The property is beautiful and in a superb location. It has loads of character and period features, although can be quite tricky to move around in due to the first floor stairs!

This is a delightful, quirky, Grade 2 listed cottage with charming interior decor. The front is so attractive, with its display of geraniums, that we saw other visitors taking photos of it. The pretty garden is small, but definitely big enough, and a sun trap in the afternoon. There is a good supply of cookware and an eclectic mix of plates, glasseRead mores and cutlery, as well as the usual kitchen appliances in the tiny but more than adequate kitchen. The cottage is close to all amenities - shops, pubs, restaurants, etc. - but off the main drag, so quiet at night. This is a lovely cottage in the charming town of Rye and we loved our time there. Nice, historical cottage in a great Rye location. Generally very good, but some very challenging staircases, so definitely not suitable for the very old or very young. But for the able-bodied it's very nice.
