Beautiful property in a beautiful setting for our multi-generational Easter getaway. A couple of complimentary bottles of wine were gratefully reveived & consumed! The accommodation was spot on for our needs with plenty of space and comfortable bedrooms. Kitchen was a little on the small side, lacking in work top space, but we made it work. Having Read moretwo ovens allowed us to cook several meals easily enough. There were issues with the heating on our arrival and our first night was a little chilly, however once sorted, it was toasty, especially with the lovely log burner. Two out of three showers were unusable because of water temperature issues, which I note was also mentioned in a previous review. Shame these weren't fixed before our arrival. Putting the issues aside, we loved our long weekend, as did the children, especially the horses, tennis court, swing and grounds, enabling a great Easter egg hunt! The owners were lovely and approachable with our problems, I just hope they sort out the shower issue to prevent any future guests the same inconvenience. Hide

It will be great if someone cleaned it before we came. (The house, the rooms) also checked the plates, glasses, pots and utensils. And also pls make sure that everything works before having it rented because it cost quite a lot of money especially during Christmas season the rate and finding out 2 showers doesn't work right. We do this family/frRead moreiend trip twice a year (summer and Christmas) and this is the first time we had a negative comment about the house we stayed. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. Well investigate this right away to make sure everythings in place for the next guest Hide

A beautiful converted barn on a beautiful farm. Excellently set out and well equipped. We had a group of 13 family members. The horses kept us entertained and the owner was very helpful with any questions we had.

We've just returned from a really enjoyable, multi-generational family holiday to include 5 adults, 3 children and a toddler. This venue is ideal and plenty big enough to allow the littlies to run and play inside, during inclement weather! The location is beautiful - on a working arable farm with a racing horse stable - so plenty of activity whicRead moreh fascinated all of us. The Barn is very well appointed with two separate 'wings' either side of the central lounge area and a mezzanine suite - so ideal for separate 'families'. The owners are charming and very accommodating; seeing to any requests promptly. The tennis court is such a boon and we played daily. The small pond enabled pond-dipping and the surrounding hay meadow for bike riding etc. Be mindful that the outdoor swimming pool is only available during the summer months. An ideal 'central location', not far from lovely country pubs, Lidl and Co-op stores, the seaside, pretty villages and child-friendly activities. Check 'Whats on in Suffolk' website. We would recommend this venue and are likely to return. Hide
