Stepps Farm is in a beautiful hamlet of Middle Marwood, just a short drive from the thriving village of Braunton. The detached 18th century farmhouse and barn conversion has been thoughtfully renovated with a tasteful blend of old and new. A large well equipped kitchen sits alongside a spacious dining room which features an oak table and an original bread oven. The many reception rooms are a bonus, with a games room, lounge with woodburner or additional sitting room. On the first floor, there are five bedrooms with two having en-suite facilities. The large master bedroom has a Super King-sized bed as well as an en-suite with a power shower. The fifth bedroom is always a hit with the children - it has two sets of full sized bunk beds. These bedrooms are served by a family bathroom with a separate corner shower. There are lots of places to relax outside. From the kitchen there is a patio with seats and, on the opposite side of the house, steps lead to a quiet lawned courtyard. Along the lane there is a lawned area of additional garden space available for football and other games, while at the top of the adjacent meadow, there are seats where you can look down the wooded valley and admire the countryside. Close to the property, you will find Marwood Gardens and the Muddiford Inn.

The house is very roomy and well equipped. It is in a tiny hamlet in rural Devon and is about 30 minutes drive from both Braunton and Barnstaple, and the nearest pubs, supermarkets, shops, and the beach.

We loved the cottage. Easily enough room for us all . Clean and tidy . No tea towels or oven mitts where the only negative .

Beautiful and very spacious cottage. The photos dont do the size of the cottage justice. Very well equipped kitchen, there wasnt anything they didnt have and a lovely size. All bedrooms were fabulous especially the super large one and beds were comfortable. Log fire was lovely to relax in front of. Great selection of games and books and the adRead moreded bonus of the pool table went down great with everyone. The only thing to be mindful of is the entrance to the driveway which is narrow, I think youd struggle to get a Range Rover in there. Beaches nearby, supermarket not too far but do need a car to get about. Host was really responsive to any messages and helpful with information about the area. We were a party of 4 adults, 5 older teenagers and there was plenty of space. Highly recommend. I also think you could add a hot tub with the space you have but I know the running costs are expensive. Hide

Our stay at Stepps Farm was wonderful, the location tucked away in Marwood was quiet and relaxing, but an easy 20 minute drive away from everywhere we like to visit. It was one of the best quipped holiday cottages we have ever stayed in, from the kitchen, to the many TV's, games, books and the snooker table all of which was much appreciated.
