This traditional redbrick terraced cottage is ideal for a family holiday at the seaside. Set in a quiet residential area in the coastal town of Southwold, there is plenty to see and do right on your doorstep. All of the town’s amenities are within easy reach, including its sandy beach backed by pretty painted beach huts. There are waterfront walkways for promenading along with an ice cream in hand, a pier with retro amusements and a listed lighthouse to help you get your bearings. Just along the street from the house, there is a lovely park and play area that is great for children. The town also offers plenty of interesting shops to browse, as well as cafes, pubs and restaurants. During the summer months, visitors can catch a foot passenger ferry to the neighbouring seaside village of Walberswick. This picturesque village is a popular place for a day trip and has a lovely sandy beach to enjoy.

The cottage offers homely family accommodation with plenty of space to get comfortable. The cosy living room has wooden floors and two sofas gathered around a wood burner. Next door, there’s an open-plan kitchen/diner with a large window overlooking the garden. The ground floor also features a shower room with a WC. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms: a king-size room, a twin and a single. Note that the single room is accessed via the twin room, making it ideal for families.

Outside, guests will find a delightful garden with two different sections. Immediately behind the kitchen is a lawn area with a table and chairs and beyond that is a sunny patio complete with a BBQ and table and chairs. This is the place for family cooking and dining together in the open air.

Great place to stay, in a great location and great value! Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again. We were not aware that there was only one toilet downstairs and the owner has made every effort to make it safe, with a hand rail and motion sensor lighting. They even had the heating on and Christmas tree when we arrived, which was loveRead morely (especially as were were visiting for the Christmas light switch on in town that weekend). The place seemed as though it was newly renovated or just very well looked after. Thanks again. Hide

We had a great time staying at Pugwash cottage. The location of the cottage was great being close to the high street and in good close proximity to the beach. Five stars all round!!

A good location near to the beautiful church of St Edmund the Martyr and within very easy reach of both the town centre and seafront. Pugwash Cottage is maintained to a high standard and was immaculately clean. Do be aware that the smallest of the three bedrooms is accessed via the twin room, though this was not a problem for us.

Great location , lovely comfy beds and well equipped - the gate locks could maybe use a bit of WD40! Second visit , probably not our last , wonderful local neighbours too which helps.

A spacious comfortable cottage - though quite pricy. The location is handy for shops and beach but the road itself is very crowded with little parking and quite noisy at times.

Very comfortable beds and sofas. Kitchen very well equipped. Nice to have useful extras like pegs and washing line. Great location for both the town and beach. The only downside was the bathroom with toilet is downstairs, and the stairs are quite narrow and steep.

Well equiped cottage. Very good location, within walking distance of high street, pier and beaches. No toilet upstairs but this wasn't too much of a problem for us.
