With the magnificent coastal scenery of North Devon and the rugged terrain of the National Trust Torrs and South West Coast Path close to the doorstep, Rock house is a spacious, contemporary holiday home set over three levels. Outside is a patio area by the entrance and a large, decked terrace with a hot tub for you to enjoy on the other side of the property. Several of the rooms have impressive balconies with sea views. You can admire the views across the town and countryside towards the ocean. Guests can experience the charms of Ilfracombe town with the Tunnels Beach within walking distance and the historic harbour with Damien Hirst's 'Verity' sculpture within a mile of the house.
On entering the house, you will find a large entrance hall, and thereafter discover an open plan kitchen/dining room with breakfast bar with separate utility room beyond. The well-equipped kitchen has a range cooker and meals can be served on the marble dining table which seats 8. Bi-fold doors open onto the balcony from the dining area making the most of the lovely views. Just off the kitchen is a hall with a new modern shower room with basin and WC. The house then leads through to the comfortable living room with Sky TV, electric fire, and soft seating. From here, patio doors open into a large conservatory with full width bi-fold doors opening onto the large decked and enclosed terrace where guests are sure to enjoy the hot tub and the views, or a drink or meal seated around the outdoor table. Gated steps lead down from the terrace to the enclosed lawn below.
Inside, stairs lead down to the lower ground floor hall with an exterior door which provides access to garden.
All of the four bedrooms are on the first floor. The dual aspect Master bedroom has bi-fold doors opening onto a decked balcony with glass surround. Views can be enjoyed over Ilfracombe and out towards the sea and coastline. The Master has its own en-suite shower room with double sink. Bedroom 2 has a double bed, and the room also has its own balcony. Bedroom 3 has a king size bed and lovely views. Bedroom 4 double bed. All the bedrooms are well catered for with TVs in each (Bedrooms 3 & 4 have TV/DVDs, but not connected to Freesat). A stylish bathroom is also on the first floor.
In summary, Rock House offers a great holiday home experience and where you can relax and enjoy this wonderful part of North Devon with family and friends.
PLEASE NOTE: There are steep steps leading from the road parking and therefore this property is unsuitable for less mobile guests.
