The Granary is a beautifully restored stone barn conversion in the heart of the Devon countryside finished to a high standard in 2014. The well-equipped accommodation oozes character and charm with the benefit of an outdoor hot tub in the enclosed gardens. The Muddiford village inn, just under a mile and a half down the road, has a popular bar and restaurant. There are many activities available nearby including horse riding, shooting and fishing in addition to countryside rambles or days on the beach. The Granary boasts an impressive vaulted ceiling complemented by exposed oak beams with a mixture of slate and oak flooring providing an exceptional living area. The well-equipped cream kitchen features a Butler sink and Juliette balcony which overlooks the sheltered walled garden, with stunning countryside views. The spacious patio area and lawned garden is ideal for a barbecue with a table and chairs for al fresco dining. Inside there is an oak dining table and the lounge area has sumptuous reclining leather seats. The solid wooden staircase leads down to the bedrooms at each end of the barn, both with en-suite bathrooms. On this lower level, three sets of doors open onto the patio. The outdoor hot tub is sure to prove a favourite throughout the year. Exmoor National Park is close by and a short drive takes you to the golden beaches and rugged coastline of North Devon. The Granary can be a superb holiday headquarters for couples, friends and family. The neighbouring farm is home to a collection of vintage tractors which the owners' father is happy to show guests. It is a working farm and from time to time the adjacent yard is used for loading and unloading.

Lovely cottage, very well planned out and the private garden at the rear is a great place to take advantage of the hot tub. Its a good base to travel to North Devon and North Cornwall, but also accesible to central and south of the counties.

Lovely cottage for a week's stay exploring Devon. Plenty of space upstairs to relax in, well equipped kitchen and two great bedrooms downstairs. Hot tub in garden was fantastic and easy to use. Track up to the cottage is a bit of an adventure the first few times but if you go at a sensible speed it's fairly easy to negotiate. A great cottage with loads of character and features. Bedrooms are modern and the upstairs layout works so well, especially with two dogs. We would highly recommend staying here.

Nice well equipped cottage , long access lane , which is getting a bit bumpy nearer cottage end . Cottage keeps warm when temperature is low and hot tub clean and ready on arrival . Easy access to beaches and local towns with plenty to do and visit .

This is a really comfortable and well equipped cottage. The location was ideal for sight seeing and visiting places of interest. The icing on the cake was the hot tub in the garden, which we used every day - perfect for tired feet and just chilling with a glass of prosecco!

We had a lovely stay at The Granary. The cottage is very well equipped with all you could need for a self catering stay. The location is excellent as all amenities and places to visit were easily within a 30 minute drive whether you were after shopping, beaches or walks. There was some farm traffic during the day but it wasn't noisy and the evenRead moreings are perfectly peaceful. With little light pollution, the night sky is pretty special. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The garden is well maintained and secluded and the hot tub is a real treat. The Granary was a beautifully appointed and maintained property and its isolation was part of the appeal. We had no contact from the owners throughout the duration as had no problems. Take an initial stock of food and drink with you as not easy to pop down to the local shop if youve forgotten something as is up a long uneven farm track. We loved iRead moret here, the furniture was top notch and the hot tub lovely. Hide

The cottage is set back up a long long track but good directions were given. Location was great for all the North Devon locations we were looking at exploring with our two dogs. It took some getting used to having upside down house with bedrooms downstairs but there is a stair gate so dogs cant run straight down. Theres plenty of room to relax in tRead morehe cottage and good comfortable sofas too. Very warm with underfloor heating, the owners were very accommodating and would answer any questions we had. Really beautiful property in a great location. Would recommend Woolacombe beach and Arlington court for great dog walks. The Granary garden is very muddy in the wet so bring plenty of dog towels for feet wiping :) Hot tub was lush even on a rainy day. Luxurious bedrooms and en suites with plenty of space upstairs for everyone!
