We found the Roost to be a very tranquil private place to stay, plenty of bird song, peace and quiet but easy to venture out on a day trip. Its also a great place to take your pooch, they have so much freedom. Hot tub was an added bonus

Perfect for a relaxing break away from it all. The Roost has everything you might need including the lovely hot tub and the little extras provided by Rosie and Paul were a nice touch.

Wonderful location. If you like walking there are numerous walks. Stunning area! Better for the younger couple as we are getting on a bit now and the hills were an effort after a good walk. Property good value for money, clean and tidy with everything you need including a hot tub as a bonus.

Lovely accommodation in beautiful setting. Our annual retreat from a busy world. The Roost has everything you need for self catering and cocktails in the hot tub each evening after a day exploring the countryside is the icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend

We returned after our first booking in July 2024. Exactly as remembered and hoped for. Practically perfect in every way. Sadly, the weather let us down a little for beach days but it meant spending more glorious time at the Roost just relaxing (which was the point if our trip). We eill be back again next year.

We loved our week away at the roost. made us feel welcome and was available on site if you needed help. The roost was clean, cosy, comfortable and so peaceful in an idyllic position. It reminded me of a tree house set in Africa. Whilst we didn't have giraffes to feed from our novel height we did see plenty of birdlife including a tawny owl which apRead morepeared each night as the bats left the roost (which Paul built). The hot tub was lovely at the end of each day. Lee bay is lovely, hidden away. We would definitely recommend The Roost as long as your mobility isn't impaired as parking is away from the house up 20 steps. You can drop off luggage via a side gate on the road but you can't park there. Over all our holiday was very enjoyable, peaceful, comfortable and I would return at the drop of a hat. Hide

The Roost is a little gem and ideal for a couple wanting a bit of peace and quiet in a rural setting. The property is on one floor, open plan and well laid out. There's a lovely veranda to sit out on with the added bonus of a hot tub which we really enjoyed. There's a great pub (The Grampus) in the village of Lee which is a 15 minute walk away downRead more the lane and the beach a further 5 minutes further on. I would definitely stay here again. Hide

Its a fantastic peaceful location where you can unwind and enjoy the view A word of warning to dog owners the gate to main road is not gated sufficiently to stop your dogs. It is easily remedied by blocking off the route by the side of the house, but it would be good if there was a permanent gate
