Pros- the pool which is gorgeous, clean and the highlight of our holiday. Kids had fun swimming and playing in it and the kitchen although small, is very well equipped. The outside seating areas were excellent and you can sunbathe. This is the standout feature of the cottage. Cons - There were quite a few cob webs notably up on the corners of cRead moreeilings, down in the corners of the room and behind the double bed it was thick with dust and cobwebs so I had to hoover it up as we found spiders on curtains and by the bed stand. There should be an annual deep clean to prevent this. Hide

Great location and well kept grounds. The pool area is great. The property itself needs a few issues addressed such as a more comfortable mattress in the double room, better shower as there's no water pressure and the bathroom needs a refurb as it's a bit tired. This day and age you would also expect a smart TV. There is although a dvd player so woRead moreuld recommend bringing some if you don't enjoy the usual TV programmes and are used to netflix, prime etc. Would also recommend bringing some board, card games etc for entertainment. Overall it's comfortable enough and quiet lovely location but the issues above need addressing to make it better overall. Definitely need a car as it's not walking distance to anywhere. We enjoyed Talland Bay and East Looe beach but found the best one for location and close amenities such as closer car park was Seaton. Would also recommend a visit to the Eden Project Hide

Let's get the good bits out the way. Our stay was from 16th to 23rd Aug 2025 What a fantastic little bit of quiet heaven. A fantastic little complex of small but adequate accommodation , great little swimming pool which gets the sun all day long and with the surrounding trees you hardly feel a breeze so lounging out for a tan is great. Now fRead moreor the bad, unfortunately we must of got the uncared for dwelling. No.8 Granite Henge really needs some care putting into it. Greeted by a door that i eventually had to barge open because it sticks wasnt the best start but then the cobwebs in the face made it even better. On first impressions it looks cozy but after half an hr once we'd unloaded the car you start to look around , old cobwebs in the ceiling corners and across the architrive dirt in the corner of the room and things stuck on the sofa, dust on the sockets and light fittings and cooker hood then you start to look at what you can cook and you find no oven glove dirty cooking utensils and cooking glass trays no wire rack for the dirty oven grill tray then find no bbq outside unlike the advertisements pictures you begin to wonder what youve walked into. The bedrooms seemed ok except for a very spring feeling double bed but look a bit more and you can see staining around the outer walls dust on top of pictures and doors and in the shades then finally a beer bottle down the side of the single bed in the twin room. But you then test out the bathroom with its black mould in the shower the mould around the window and on the roller blind , the dust on the shelves and the dirty glass on the top shelf just dont look behind the toilet or worry about the cracked/broken floor tiles or wall tiles or try shutting the window. Overall we had a great holiday we used the pool engaged with the fantastic other holiday makers staying in the other dwellings spoke with the lovely and friendly grounds staff but as far as our accommodation is concerned its the worst ive ever stayed in for a holiday for its cleanliness or upkeep. Would I recommend the complex YES without question its so peaceful and calming as to number 8 Granite Henge steer well clear without it gets a proper thorough clean and update on its decor, when you read an old review that talks about cracked tiles , netting , poor mattress and mould and find its still the same just says to me its owned by someone that just doesnt care and in turn you treat it with the same contempt. Great holiday let down by the poor state of the dwelling. 16th - 23rd Aug 2025 Hide

Granite henge is a lovely site and well looked after by the groundskeeper. The pool was lovely very clean and safe. The cottage was well equipped and in a very quiet area half way between Looe and Polperro. It was a nice cottage just needed things done especially the mattress!
