Roughton provides an ideal base for exploring the coast and countryside of North Norfolk. The seaside town of Cromer has a lovely sandy beach, and pier with its own theatre and traditional seafront entertainment. The area is rich in history and heritage with many museums and fine houses including Felbrigg Hall, which is only one mile away. There are lovely walks to be found close by, ranging from National Trust parkland to cliff-top walks as well as along country lanes and footpaths. The village has a shop and pub, which serves meals, with further amenities available in Cromer.
