This house affords lovely views from the back out to sea and over the town. It is a 10/15 minute walk uphill from the town to the house and parking is not easy. The bedrooms and living areas are spacious. There is ample hot water, new fittings in the bathrooms and radiators can be adjusted easily to warm up the rooms if necessary. The house would sRead moreuit a family very well with the extra living room but we as older guests found the amount of stairs a little challenging. The Isle of Purbeck is beautiful area with beaches, wildlife reserves and historic places to enjoy. The Narrows Restaurant on High Street is a lovely place to eat. Hide

A Victorian terrace over four floors with twin attic rooms and shower room on top floor, 2nd floor Double bedrooms and another shower room + toilet, ground entrance level double reception rooms with views to the sea. Basement level Kitchen and Dining area with access to decked garden. Unfortunately after our arrival we were informed that the deckinRead moreg is rotting and unstable. This looks like a long term issue so not informing guests before booking let alone arrival is remiss. Also inquiry prior to booking about the parking gave only a default answer which obfuscated the reality of very limited on street only. Do not expect to park near the house. Holiday cottages response: Thank you for your valuable feedback. The owner of this property has replaced the decking. Hide

Wonderful spacious house, comfortable beds, and great location. The only downside is the parking.

Super weekend in a very spacious and clean home which would easily accommodate two families. Beds comfy, great showers and plenty hot water. Great location and would highly recommend the local pub - the Black Swan. Would just warn there are many stairs, if someone wasnt very mobile. Also, although we were lucky with parking (parking bay across thRead moree road) there is not a designated parking space, so you may have to find a car park or park in a side road. Super rental Hide

This is a lovely, well located house with plenty of space and thoughtfully furnished/ equipped. Plenty of hot water and very comfortable beds. Perfectly suited for two families with young children although we were a party of 8 adults.
