Property code: OC-FL025

This attractive detached coastal holiday cottage, all on one level, with Hot tub, is presented to a beautiful standard throughout and with panoramic views towards Cardigan Bay from the cottage and its gardens. Located on a no-through-road in the village of Abererch near Abersoch and Pwllheli on the stunning Lleyn Peninsula, the cottage sleeps 8 guests in 4 good size bedrooms and sits in two acres of grounds. Delightfully traditional but with all mod cons including full central heating, underfloor heating and superfast fibre broadband,  the stone long cottage also has the added luxury of a private hot tub (extra charge) set on a generous decking area with stunning views across Cardigan Bay to Abersoch and the islands.

Gorwel is all arranged on a single level although there are a few steps inside. The large lounge is a very attractive and welcoming room with high vaulted ceiling, Welsh dresser, armchairs and sofas, CD radio, flatscreen SMART TV, DVD, library and a log burning stove with plentiful log supply. An attractive window seat offers wonderful views over Cardigan Bay and patio French doors lead to a garden terrace with more views. The large dining room has a table and chairs to seat 8. The kitchen is newly fitted with oak units and quality appliances including electric cooker, gas hob, extractor fan, large fridge/freezer, microwave, Pod coffee machine, dishwasher; breakfast table and chairs for 4 and a stable door into the garden. A separate utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. The main bedroom has a king size bed, TV and en suite shower room with WC and basin. There is a second double bedroom and two twin bedrooms one with a Tv and hand basin. The family bathroom comprises washbasin, WC, roll top bath, large walk-in shower, heated towel rail, airing cupboard, shaving point and underfloor heating.

The enclosed landscaped gardens at Gorwel are a real feature. In spring and summer the whole front of the cottage is adorned with a mature wisteria, while the gardens have plenty of hydrangeas and other mature bushes and plants. There are two secluded patios for outside dining, sunbathing and relaxing and a large log cabin summerhouse / games room with fantastic south facing sea views and its own patio. The summerhouse has a TV, DVD, barbecue and furniture - the kids (and grown -ups ) love it! An additional decked area houses a large and private hot tub (extra charge) with stunning sea views. There is ample parking in a large car park with room for up to 7 cars.

Please note that the hot tub may still be warming up when you arrive but is normally hot by the evening. It will be emptied sometime early on the morning of the day of departure to give sufficient time to empty, clean, refill and heat up for the next guests.

Fantastic Stay at Gorwel Cottage Highly Recommended! We recently spent a wonderful week at Gorwel Cottage in Wales, and it was the perfect getaway for our family, including my partner, two teenagers, my parents, and our two dogs. The cottage exceeded our expectations in every way! The location is simply stunning, with breathtaking sea views Read morethat made every morning special. The secure garden was a huge plus, especially for the dogs, who had plenty of space to run around safely. The hot tub was a wonderful touch a great way to unwind after a day of exploring. Inside, the cottage was well-equipped with everything we could possibly need for a self-catering stay. The kitchen had all the utensils and appliances we needed to prepare meals, and the living spaces were spacious, clean, and comfortable for our whole family. We felt right at home. The surrounding area was peaceful, with plenty of opportunities for walks and outdoor activities. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, and the cottage provided a warm, welcoming base for our family. We all agreed that our stay at Gorwel Cottage was excellent, and were already talking about returning. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with stunning views! Great location and scenic views. The cottage is a little rustic and bit tired in places. The living spaces are roomy.

A lovely stay in a homely cottage. Gorwel is comfortable and cosy with plenty of room. The hot tub was much enjoyed to ease aching muscles after long coastal walks.

We had a lovely week here. Very well equipped on the whole (although would have liked a parasol or other shade for garden on a hot week, and we disagreed with some previous reviews about the generosity of the towels- bring your own if you like a big bath sheet). Kids enjoyed having the garden, summer house and the hot tub. Good size lounge, dining Read moreroom and kitchen. More WCs than advertised - 3 in house and 1 outside! Easy parking for multiple cars. Beautiful views and handy location walking distance from a beach (albeit worth driving further for the stunning beaches on the peninsula) and short drive from supermarkets, shops, takeaways etc in Pwllheli. Great base for our extended family holiday. Hide

Really comfortable cottage with plenty of room for all our family. The garden was great, much appreciated by our granddaughter and dog, the views are lovely. We were made to feel very welcome, communication was great. The local area has excellent beaches and place to walk. We would love to come back.
