This house is an architectural beauty in a fabulous location. The beach is right in front of the house and Tankerton shops are a block behind with a butcher, great baker, small supermarket, plenty of cafes and restaurants as well as a bus route. Its about a 30min walk along the seafront to the centre of Whitstable or a short bus ride. The house hasRead more stunning stained glass front doors, theres lovely moulded ceilings, tessellated tile path and entrance and an old servants bell as the doorbell which actually works. This is an old house though and whilst some things like remote control lighting and plenty of sockets are modern, some of the blinds dont work, some of the windows dont open and the hall tiles for example could do with a deep clean, but its still a lovely, lovely place to stay. Apartment furnishings are up to date and comfortable, the towels were good and the shower has plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Everything in the kitchen is fully functional. Our only disappointment was that we couldnt afford to stay longer. Highly recommended Hide

Great location waking up & looking at the sea. Lovely old house with period features. Big & airy rooms. Wooden floors. Like the white decor. Lovely large lounge area. Could be excellent if a few updates are made. Needs: -The shower is old and has gunge in the door roller and orange mould in grout. -The kitchen is also very dated 80s style Read moreand the cabinets are old and fridge is all yellow inside. Needs a microwave. -The wardrobes are falling apart & screwed together in places. -The garden is overgrown and the ground is uneven and a trip hazard. The chairs tip when sat in. We had a lovely stay over Easter and only used this as a base which worked perfectly for us. Hide

Excellent location and views. Tankerton is a good base for visiting Kent and the beach right outside was fabulous. The house is in need of redecorating and unfortunately the garden is a complete mess. Very comfortable bed and it could be absolutely fabulous with a bit of tlc. Having said that we enjoyed our stay very much.

My daughter and I loved our stay at no 46. It's a very elegant apartment, with fantastic views and convenient for local shops. Its a pleasant walk into Whitstable, we only used the car once all week. We both miss the sea view from the bedrooms now we are home and would love a return visit.

This is our third stay at No 46. It is a beautiful Victorian house and would be fantastic as a single home. The location is brilliant for our needs as it is very close to our daughter, plus it is a very nice stroll into Whitstable. There is a great sea view from the bedrooms with lovely window seats.

Nice apartment and a good location. The garden patio and furniture needs attention and doesn't match the description. The shower room and cloakroom with WC only are accessed through the kitchen. The TV would benefit with being replaced by a Smart TV they are not expensive.
