A welcoming and comfortable home, nestled in unspoilt countryside not far from the Suffolk Coast, Willow Farm is found in the peaceful village of Eastbridge which neighbours the RSPB Misnmere nature reserve. This two-storey period property boasts a gorgeous rural setting in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and yet still has many amenities accessible on foot; a pub, Dunwich beach, the heaths and the RSPB Minsmere Visitor Centre with café are all found within 1.5 miles. Right from the doorstep there are countless paths and trails to be explored. If you’d like to peruse museums, shops and markets, listen to live music and feast on fine fish and chips, you can take a 6-mile drive to the seaside town of Aldeburgh — you’ll also find a golf course and the beach of Thorpeness en route. Or pay a visit to the fantastic ruins of Leiston Abbey, 2 miles away, or travel a little further inland to the 12th-century fortress of Framlingham Castle, 13 miles distant. There are an abundance of fantastic seaside villages, towns, and beaches all within an easy drive or cycle away.

Packed with rustic charm and period features, this cottage is a truly welcoming retreat. The lounge and dining room both have exposed timber ceiling beams and antique furniture. The lounge also has plush sofas and a delightful wood burner set in a brick fireplace. A choice of seating areas in the dining room gives the option of socialising at the farmhouse dining table or catching up with some work at the desk. The bright and spacious kitchen and utility room are accessed via a farmhouse door from the dining room. A shower room completes the ground floor. Heading upstairs, three light and contemporary bedrooms await. The Master double and the twin are set under the eaves and the beds sit under exposed beams. The third bedroom, a second double, provides comfortable accommodation and captures the morning sunshine on fine days. The first floor is complete with bathroom offering the choice of a relaxing bath or an invigorating shower.

The fully enclosed gardens are found to the front and side of the property, enclosed with hedging and fencing. An area is laid to gravel, with a bistro set for two, whilst the majority of the garden is laid to lawn with plenty of space to enjoy. The garden boasts the unusual features of a well (covered for safety) and an old smokehouse. Garden furniture is provided and a BBQ for those warmer days or evenings.

Willow Farm is so comfortable and cosy. It is very well equipped and the log fire is a bonus on chilly evenings. The gardens are very well laid out and maintained and there was a constant stream of birds visiting and even deer a couple of times. The location is ideal for RSPB Minsmere and also convenient for local attractions such as Framlingham CaRead morestle, Aldeburgh and Southwold. Highly recommended. Hide

Great location handy for good daytime walks and two good pubs in the evening. Sizewell C is having an impact on the local roads and background sound but at present we would still go back

The cottage has a pleasant feel with a lovely private, secure garden. The kitchen is well equipped and the welcome goodies were appreciated. We enjoyed walking to Minsmere, Dunwich Heath, the beach, as well as sampling the food & beer at the very local pub, which is highly recommended!

Willow Farm is perfectly situated to explore this beautiful corner of Suffolk. A very peaceful area, ideal for a relaxing break. The farm house is large and rooms are surprisingly spacious for a house of this age. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed for stay at home cooking, however the local pub food is delicious too. The Eels FRead moreoot is a stones throw away and is friendly and welcoming. The garden wraps around the house and has sun all day long. We sat outside for breakfast everyday, a perfect start to the days exploring the nearby villages. A perfect stay! Hide

Willow Cottage is a lovely old building with large garden with a lovely wisteria-framed seating area, in a peaceful and relaxing hamlet. There are lots of great walks from the doorstep and it's about as close as you can get to Minsmere. The surrounding area is beautiful unspoilt countryside with lots of winding roads and plenty of interesting smallRead more shops and cafes. The local pub, the welcoming Eel's Foot Inn, is a very short walk from the house (but not too close for disturbance). We stayed for a week in spring and there was distant noise from the campsite in the field opposite on weekend evenings, but it didn't last long. Apart from that, just birds and cows - bliss. The house was clean and comfortable and we appreciated the books, bird-themed decor and Carpet Croquet game. The bathroom is a bit cramped, but there is another shower downstairs in the utility room. Watch out for the low beamed ceilings! Hide

Its a beautiful property, being a country farm house located in a remote and peaceful rural location with a fine pub only minutes walk away. We had lots of space to spread indoors and the garden was really large. Perfect for a dog to prance around in freely and securely. This was also a fantastically peaceful place to sit and enjoy the weather. IRead morendoors had an excellent stock of books and board games too, which was an added bonus. The beds were soft and comfortable. The house was very clean and tidy upon arrival too. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and appliances all of which were easy to use We particularly enjoyed the little arrival gift bag of milk and goodies. Thank you. The house is an excellent base for walking, with footpaths leading to the beach, across some spectacular countryside, from the front gate. We mixed eating out and cooking in over our weeks stay. The Eels Foot Inn (uber convenient being around the corner) has a great menu and fine ales and wines. Theres also numerous great foodie pubs within a short driving distance. We particularly enjoyed The Poachers Pocket at Saxmundham. All in all, a very peaceful and relaxing Suffolk holiday home. Hide

Wonderful traditional cottage in a stunning location. The cottage is beautifully wonky, with beamed ceilings, mixed floor levels and low doors, set in a beautiful lawned garden. (Car access to the parking is very tight). Within a very short stroll to the fabulous Eels Foot pub and a short walk to Minsmere reserve and the Suffolk coast.
