What a great location. Right on the estuary and only a short walk into the main bit of Whitby. We had hours of fun crabbing just outside the property. The cottage is spacious and comfy although it could do with a little modernising. Large parking space for 2 cars was a massive bonus, particularly in Whitby. Good price and we'd definitely return.

This is the second time we've stayed at 8 Abrahams Quay and from the minute we arrive we feel at home. The view is amazing, the cottage has everything you could need and the cookies they leave were gone in a day! Ten minutes max walk to Whitby centre, lots of shops etc. Cottage has a great chip shop opposite called Riverside Fisheries which closes Read morequite early so check the times. Had an amazing Sunday lunch at the Fat Badger based in the Grand Hotel. We visited Sandsend and Saltburn both of which are great for the beach and little shops. Theres a Sainsburys 5 minutes drive away so you can do a weeks shop. You also have your very own duck family who sit n the doorstep quacking so if you can, buy some proper duck food before you go! Whitby is a magical place! Hide

A lovely comfortable property in an excellent location complete with 2 allocated parking spaces. Was pleasantly surprised to see the milk tea bags and box of biscuits to welcome us . The accommodation was also lovely and warm for our arrival. Fantastic spacious shower.

The cottage is lovely, but a new mattress wouldn't go amiss.

This was our second visit to this property. We choose it because it has a dedicated car parking space and is not too far from town. It is comfortable and cosy. We ate out but the kitchen would have been fine to cook in if necessary. Comfortable beds and fluffy towels were welcome. We would book again.

We keep returning to 8 Abraham's Quay as it is ideal foe us. It is far enough from the centre of Whitby to not suffer from the disturbance that the crowds that the town attracts . It is a nicely equipped "cottage" and beautifully kept. It also has the overwhelmingly important thing in Whitby, private off road parking. In fact, on our most recent hoRead moreliday we parked on arrival and didn't use the car until departure. Hide

A really comfortable home from home. Well equipped (I couldn't find scissors). An easy walk to town which I appreciated as I am less mobile than I used to be. The Fleece pub became a regular stopping spot for refueling. The allocated parking is very welcome. Only one small complaint - the position of the mirror in the bathroom - although there isn'Read moret any other available spot. Made shaving fun. The shower is very good. Hide

Good location with parking for two cars just a walk from the centre of town. Best suited to a couple with perhaps two children as bedroom 2 is very small with little storage space and suffers from some road noise. A welcome pack of milk tea sugar and biscuits was a nice touch. Towels were also provided, contrary to the property information.
