Nightingale Cottage is a beautiful Victorian detached holiday home in the seaside town of Aldeburgh. This self-catering cottage provides guests the most welcoming and relaxing place in which to enjoy with loved ones whilst holidaying along the Suffolk coast. Inside Nightingale Cottage has many highlights including a contemporary open plan room with plenty of large windows which give a wonderfully bright atmosphere. For lazy winter evenings indoors simply hop onto one of the cosy sofas in the sitting room and light the woodburner which is a lovely focal point in this part of the cottage. The French doors from this area lead out to the professionally landscaped garden which has been cleverly designed to give a feeling of seclusion. In this wonderful space you'll find a large decked area ideal for barbecues and a large lawn with a gate at the end providing access onto the public footpath and across the Aldeburgh marshes. Shop: 200 yards Pub: 150 yards.

Aldeburgh and the surrounding area has inspired many authors and poets in the past but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Boating is popular on the nearby Alde estuary where a large variety of yachts can be seen at summer weekends.

Wow, What a great stay to start our 2025 Holiday off! This property has a view to die for. From the main bedroom balcony you get an awesome view over the Marsh towards the river. There is a lovely cosy log burner which is easy to work with excellent instruction in the handbook. The Decking from the patio doors has a great feel and the garden looRead moreks like it has had a professional make over - watch out for the two statues - took us a couple of days to spot them!! The chatter of the birds is a sweet sound to your ears. The property has all you need for a comfortable stay, Good range of pots & pans but bring your own espresso coffee maker - we travel with ours everywhere. Location at the bottom end of the town is ideal. The seafront is only a 5 min walk [we are old and slow]. From the front of the house or the bottom of the garden you are straight into some lovely walks over the marsh area. Aldeburgh has some really nice restaurants and I would recommend booking before hand. Please don't all come at once as we do love it down here!! But if you do, enjoy. Hide

Great location for exploring Aldeburgh from. Fantastic view from master bedroom. Needs some improvements on cleaning as downstairs floor dirty on arrival and not suitable for a baby to crawl or sit on.

A lovely house in a brilliant location. A stones throw from the beach, pub and shops. Very secure garden for our dog. Spacious and nicely decorated living area, and the wood burner was a lovely accessory. Parking potentially an issue at busier times, but we managed to park 3 cars on the road throughout the stay. Would definitely come back agaRead morein. Hide
