The Coach House is over a hundred years old and is full of character situated in a much sought-after location within Dunwich. The ground floor was originally two stables and the original floor bricks are still present. The property boasts fantastic views over the marshes and sea and is located only a short walk away from the beach. The Coach House is an ideal base for an idyllic holiday and offers private parking and also a large garden with a barbecue to enjoy. Shop: 2 miles Pub: 50 yards.

Bedroom 3: Twin beds. 
Bedroom 4: Single bed (with pull-out option to make two single beds - please specify your preference at the time of booking).
Shower Room: Shower cubicle, washbasin and wc.

Garden: Large garden with grass, decked area and barbecue. 
Parking: Private for three cars.
Heating: Oil heating.
Pets: Three well-behaved pets welcome.
Notes: Wi-fi, bed linen and towels provided, Wii console with games and luxury Elsyl toiletries provided. Travel cot and highchair available to use. Please be aware there is no balcony outside the French doors from the sitting room. There is an open staircase with a banister from the ground floor leading directly to the Sitting Room.

Dunwich is an unspoilt coastal village with a mainly shingle beach. The Ship Inn serves good meals as does the Beach Cafe which is well known for its fish and chips - enjoyed best on the beach. Dunwich adjoins Dingle Marshes Nature Reserve, Dunwich Heath (cliff top is National Trust owned) and Minsmere RSPB is only three miles by foot. Southwold and Aldeburgh are both ten miles away. Trains and buses can be found four miles away at Darsham.

I would highly recommend this wonderful, spacious home that is so close to the beach and in easy reach of so many great places to explore and visit. Ample parking is a bonus. Everything is provided to make the dogs very welcome. The garden is secure for them to run around ( we just had to watch the old dachshund didnt fall off the decking). We had a wonderful stay at The Coach House, fabulous postition & plenty of little towns & walks to entertain you during your stay. The Ship, beach cafe & museum are right on the door step & well worth a visit. The house is well equipped for all ages & there plenty of bowls & towels for the pooch! The BBQ is literally on its last leg. Early hours Sunday a roof ridge tile fell from the apex narrowly missing one off the cars. As a holiday cottage, it is perfect. The equipment and facilities and the location. You would struggle to get a better cottage.

A lovely house to spend a week in, the down stairs is open plan with a big conservatory and a double room and bathroom, the kitchen is well equipped. There are two more bathrooms up stairs, another seating area and a double room with shower. It is literally a stones throw from the beach. This is a lovely house which is very well equipped. It is literally just by the beach, which is a treat, one morning walk we were the only ones on the beach which was the most amazing experience. The local pub, The Ship, is brilliant, it's just up the road and the Sunday Roast was delicious. There is a wealth of footpaths which meant we didn't needRead more to use the car very much which was great. If you're bringing your dog you need to be aware that the bottom fence isn't secure and we had to use a lead on our dog (he is a busy Spaniel so a steady dog may be ok). I have made the owners aware and hopefully they will be able to get that sorted out as it's the only thing that would prevent us coming back for another holiday. Hide

Lovely cottage in an idyllic spot we were spoilt for choice on our morning walks with woodland, wetland, heath and beach all within 2 minutes of the property. Most importantly if you have dogs the garden is genuinely secure .My spaniel cross is an escape artist and even she couldn't get out which made for a relaxing holiday.

Fantastic holiday home. Perfect location, right on the beach but so quiet annd tranquil, and huge garden for the dogs. Beautifully furnished and well equipped. A true dog friendly holiday let. So many say they are, but then impose so many rules its uncomfortable. This is a true home from home and they are happy for you to cuddle up with your furryRead more friend on the sofa, using the blankets provided. Made it the most relaxing place weve rented so far. We all loved this property, location is fantastic, beach 50 metres on one side, lovely friendly pub 50 metres the other. everything you could possibly need is here within the house. quiet , comfortable, my dogs loved it too.

The cottage is very well equipped although we did not locate a coffee machine. Plenty of games, books and other entertainment present. One downside for those with mobility issues the downstairs an suite only has a hand held shower from the taps so one needs to be able to enter and exit a bath. Wildlife very abundant in the garden with nice viewsRead more over the marsh. Very close to both the beach and local inn. What a fabulous home to stay in this is. Well placed for beach, heath, marshes and the pub. Well furnished, comfortable and well equipped. The huge garden is perfect. We absolutely loved it and hope to stay there again (and again).

For anyone looking for a real get-away break, surrounded by lovely countryside but with a beach on the doorstep, this is ideal. The house was warm and inviting with plenty of space for all (and our dogs). The pub nearby is to be recommended too!

This has to be our fifth or sixth stay at this lovely house. Perfect for us with three Spaniels and so close to the beach. I'm about to book two more weeks next year. We never tire of it.

We very much enjoyed the location, space and views offered by the Old Coach House and found it well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our time but there were some issues. The particulars state that the twin beds can be configured as a king sized double and we had requested this but it was not done and the housekeeper refused to come out and rectifyRead more it. The high chair was not clean. One burner on the gas hob did not ignite correctly and gave off a strong smell of gas when used. Hide
