What a wonderful place to stay, its appeal is the location and proximity to the sea, and a 5 minute walk to all the amenities. A benefit was no internet and phone signal so no distractions from the sea and the sky. It is very comfortable for 2, a bit of a push in the living area for 4 for a week but doable because everything else makes up for it. WRead moree spent a very happy week watching the tides and sunsets, watching old DVDs, reading and exploring the area. The Mo was a surprising hit, much more to it. The North Norfolk Coast offered easy walks to either Cromer or Salthouse - would absolutely recommend and stay again. Hide

The Wee Retreat was so peaceful and beautiful! My friend and I enjoyed the views of the beach and North Sea from the living room area and our rooms. We were within walking distance of multiple restaurants, pubs, shopping, train station, and grocery stores as well as the coastal hiking trail. We loved our time here!

Excellent location and super views. Very comfortable overall and enjoyed our stay, hope to return in the not too distant future for our 6th time. Do not expect expect internet access and mobile phone reception seems to depend on the tide, so if you really want to relax this is certainly the place to stay.

Amazing location and views. Very well equipped, the air fryer a real bonus. Comfy sofa. Great to have books, dvds and games. A few tweaks needed with tvs, freezer and heating.

The location of this property is as amazing as you think it will be. A very short walk into town and perfect for sitting on the balcony people (and dog) watching. However, we found the patio doors difficult to move so bear this in mind when deciding whether to book. My elderly mother was unable to move the doors at all. On the final morning of Read moreour stay one of the patio doors came off it's fixings as I opened it. A situation which has the potential to be very dangerous. I'm concerned about whether the maintenance of the patio doors is adequate. Hide

Absolutely fabulous location, must be one of the best in Sheringham and we were glad we'd discounted some of the more negative reviews as we found the whole experience an absolute delight and we are hoping to be able to return

A comfortable lounge and bedrooms, more than adequate for 4 adults, the bathrooms are snug to say the least. I would be warry about taking children due to the open nature of the spiral stair cases to the up stairs and down stairs bedrooms and the stairs and remote location are certainly not suitable for the elderly or infirm. If you love the sight and sound of the sea, the Wee Retreat is the property for you. It's a bit Tardis-like in that from the outside you'd not realise how much could be packed into such a small footprint and the owners have produced a little gem of a place. But there are points that should be noted: it is a wee place, so don't expect huge bathroomsRead more; eating in for 4 wouldn't be especially sociable as there is no dining table and there isn't comfortable seating for 4. There was just the 2 of us so none of this mattered and we just enjoyed the sea and Sheringham. Oh, and there is quite a long, steep slope and steps to be negotiated for access from the roadway above - those with dodgy kneecaps might wish to know this!.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will visit again. Hide

A great location, handy for the town, literally a 2 minute walk. The local restaurants are good but need booking 3 or 4 days in advance. Despite there being no on site parking there is lots of space at the top of the path.. The cate at the bottom of the steps does good coffee and crepes, ideal for breakfast.
