An idyllic escape for two guests, the hut is set on a working sheep and cattle farm in the glorious Kent countryside. Set out on quiet walks through the Eden Valley, discovering parkland, woodland, open fields and charming villages, or head to the bright lights of Royal Tunbridge Wells (9.5 miles) for boutique shopping, fabulous food and historic charm. Speaking of history, you’ll be in the perfect position to explore numerous important houses and castles. Visit Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Chiddingstone Castle, with its fascinating collections, Chartwell, once the home of Winston Churchill, and Penshurst Place, with its magnificent gardens (all within just 7 miles). For a traditional afternoon tea, picturesque Chiddingstone is only 2.5 miles away. The Ashdown Forest, setting for the Winnie the Pooh stories, is 9 miles away, with charming Pooh Sticks Bridge, a must for the photo album, 7.5 miles away.

As you arrive at the hut, which has a traditional, barrel-shaped roof and timber cladding, pause for a moment to admire the rural surroundings. At certain times of the year, you’ll be able to watch the owner’s sheep, cows and horses graze in the field below. Take the steps up to find a covered, decked veranda with a handy cupboard for wellies and winter coats. Open the stable door to find an open-plan space clad in warm, natural timber, cosy all year round thanks to its gas central heating. The kitchen area includes everything you’ll need for creating delicious meals for two, with a gas hob and oven, a fridge with ice box and a microwave. You can enjoy your food at the dining table inside, or take it outside to relax on sunny days. At the end of the day, sit back and enjoy a favourite show on the Smart TV before retreating to the double bed for a restful night’s sleep. Adding to the convenience of this comfortable and welcoming getaway is an en-suite shower room with WC.

Make the most of the impressive countryside views by sitting outside on the hut’s balcony, where you’ll find a bistro table and chairs – perfect for a morning coffee, a sundowner or an al fresco meal. For easy arrivals and departures, parking is provided for one car.
