Embracing nature at every turn, this idyllic rural cabin on the outskirts of the North Pennines National Landscape offers couples and families the opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside. There’s no better place to reconnect with the great outdoors than this beautifully scenic spot, with delightful walks beginning from the doorstep; the Weardale Way passes through the surrounding farm. There are even more enchanting trails to explore at Slitt Wood, 8 miles away, a former mining area that boasts small waterfalls and the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife. Keen anglers can enjoy peaceful fishing as the surrounding site has its own stretch of private fishing on the River Wear (a licence is required). Sitting at the heart of Durham's World Heritage Site, tour the magnificent Durham Castle, 22 miles away, before heading into the city centre to enjoy a riverside stroll.

You’ll find all your creature comforts within the delightful open-plan studio-style layout of this countryside cabin. The glazed front door not only floods the space with natural light, but showcases outstanding views that’ll inspire you to get out and explore. The quirky, curved ceiling adds cosiness and character, whilst natural wood hues embrace your unspoilt surroundings. Whip up some local treats in the kitchenette and enjoy your efforts seated around the farmhouse-style dining table. During the warmer months, throw open the glazed door to unwind amongst the fresh evening breeze. When it’s time to retire, the plush double bed promises a dreamy rest. The built-in sofa at the foot of the double bed provides a comfy spot for relaxing and can be arranged as a bed to cater for an additional two guests. A sleek and stylish contemporary shower room completes this charming bolthole.

Soak up the serenity of your quiet setting from the comfort of the terrace adjoining the cabin. Beyond the terrace, the gravelled area also enjoys a great vantage point for sublime views, boasting a BBQ, picnic bench and fire pit, ideal for al fresco dining.
