For walks nearby, follow the towpaths at Barton, Alrewas or Fradley (all within 6 miles), or explore hundreds of miles of walking and cycling routes through the National Forest (4 miles). Barton-under-Needwood (4 miles) has shops and tempting takeaways, and at popular Barton Marina (5 miles) you can take waterside strolls, go shopping and hire boats. Head to Lichfield to admire its remarkable three-spired medieval cathedral (8.5 miles), treat the children for a day of adrenaline-fuelled fun at Alton Towers (21 miles), or discover the bright lights of Birmingham (26 miles).
Inside the first cottage, three steps lead down from the entrance hall into an open-plan living space with a Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker and electric fire. The adjoining dining area and modern kitchen are fab for sharing meals, while patio doors provide direct access to the decking. This cottage’s ground floor also has a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, along with a twin bedroom with 2’ 6” zip-and-link beds. Upstairs, there is a second king-size bedroom and a family bathroom with a slipper bath and separate shower. The second cottage has a comfortable living room with a Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker and wood burner-effect electric fire, along with a dining area and well-equipped kitchen opening onto the garden through patio doors. Two ground-floor twin bedrooms have 2’ 6” zip-and-link beds, and each has an en-suite shower room. A separate WC is also on this level. Upstairs is a king-size bedroom, a family bathroom and an open landing with a handy desk. The third cottage has an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with French doors, a Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker and wood burner-effect electric fire. Its king-size bedroom has a Freeview TV and en-suite shower room, while the twin bedroom has 2’ 6” zip-and-link beds, plus an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. Air-source central heating includes underfloor heating on the ground floor of the first two cottages and throughout the third. All zip-and-link beds can be arranged as king-sizes on prior request, making sleeping arrangements extra flexible.
Each cottage has a garden overlooking the surrounding fields, plus a furnished decked area for morning coffees, outdoor meals and sundowners. The three gardens can be opened up to create one connected space, giving the whole party plenty of room to relax together. Six allocated parking spaces are provided outside the cottages, with further parking available on request.
