This characterful two-storey cottage is ideal for families and friends seeking a relaxing rural escape close to local amenities and the wide-open landscapes of Norfolk and the Fens. Situated as part of a complex of seven converted barns, there are plenty of local attractions to enjoy, from exploring the historic port of King’s Lynn (8.5 miles), with its medieval architecture and maritime history, to wildlife and nature enthusiasts spending a day at Watatunga Wildlife Reserve or RSPB Snettisham, both within 20 miles. For a traditional day at the seaside, take a picnic, buckets, spades, and water sports gear to the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton (23 miles). Alternatively, head inland and enjoy a day exploring Sandringham Estate (14 miles), with its acres of parkland and magnificent Georgian house, or the National Trust’s historic Oxburgh Hall (12.5 miles), a medieval moated manor house.

This beautiful property retains the barn's rustic, country-style feel with exposed wooden ceiling beams, while seamlessly blending in all the contemporary creature comforts you know and love. Step into the hallway and leave your shoes and outdoor gear before heading through to the inviting open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge on your left. This welcoming space is the heart of the home, featuring elegant furnishings and unique decor that reflects the location’s farming history. Sink into the comfortable seating and relax with a drink while you read or relive the day’s activities. Gather in the evening with snacks and enjoy a movie night courtesy of the Smart TV. At mealtimes, the large wooden table provides the perfect setting for unhurried feasts followed by board games. The contemporary kitchen is cleverly partly screened off from the living and dining areas. You’ll find all the appliances you need to whip up tasty treats in this stylish kitchen area. When it is time to rest, a light and airy downstairs twin bedroom with ample storage sits straight ahead along the hallway. Completing the downstairs on the left is a wet room with a bath, wet-room shower, and WC, making the ground floor accessible for wheelchair users. Head up to the first floor, and you’ll find a second sleek family bathroom and the two remaining attractive bedrooms – a lovely twin bedroom and an impressive double bedroom with a 4-poster bed.

Wander outside to the wrap-around courtyard patio area and enjoy the peace and quiet while unwinding on the sun loungers. A bistro set, a picnic bench with a parasol, and a BBQ mean you are all set for al fresco dining in fine weather. The patio overlooks the fields, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed morning cuppa or a lazy afternoon tea. Private parking is available for three cars.
