Located in a convenient spot in a designated Food Town, this cheerful hideaway is a great base for walkers, hikers, cyclists, water sports enthusiasts and wildlife spotters. Castle Douglas has a rich history dating back to the 18th century, with a vibrant mix of independent shops, art galleries, restaurants, cafes and pubs. The tranquil shores of Carlingwark Loch are just a half-mile stroll from the apartment, with the beautiful Threave Garden and Nature Reserve just a mile further on, offering chances to spot red kites, ospreys and peregrine falcons. To the east, you can view the remains of the medieval Threave Castle (2 miles). Heading south, the glorious Sandyhills Beach (13 miles) lies along the Solway Firth, midway between RSPB Mersehead and Castle Point (both within 15 miles). Loch Ken lies to the north (3.5 miles) leading into the magnificent Galloway Forest Park (15 miles).

A small step leads up to the front door and then into this warm and inviting apartment where you will be greeted by a sweet and relaxing lounge/diner with ample seating and a TV, providing an ideal space to unwind after a great day out. A further small step leads down into the smartly arranged and fully equipped kitchen. Exploring the apartment further, you will find a handy utility room and a refreshing bathroom complete with a bath and separate shower. When it’s time to turn in for the night you will have a choice of two light, spacious and cheerful twin bedrooms.

Although the property has no outside space of its own, it is conveniently positioned so you can make the most of the town’s many friendly eateries and open spaces.
