This was our second visit, and we very much enjoyed being back. It is a comfortable, clean cottage in lovely surroundings. The garden is securely enclosed which is great for our dog. Lovely walks by the river. We hope to be back.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We very much appreciated the welcome pack. The close proximity to the river Nith was just so lovely. The views were spectacular and the river walks much loved by us and our dog. The host was very kind and helpful, as was her daughter. The enclosed garden was very secure for our dog

We loved our stay at Branta cottage, it had everything that was needed to get by. It is a very comfortable place with views over the river with and beyond. Branta cottage is a well equipped, comfortable cottage. It has an excellent location overlooking the river Nith which provides a wonderful view of the river and the birds on it. We even witnessed the Nith bore which was impressive as it swept up the river. This is our second visit and will not be our last!

We had a lovely stay at Branta Cottage. The house was equipped with everything and anything that we needed. Mrs Murray was an excellent host, she made sure we were taken care of and she even went out of her way to make us some shortbread cookies which were delicious. We do, wholeheartedly, recommend this place if you are ever in the area.

Mrs Murray is a great hostess. We arrived late evening after a traumatic road journey and couldnt find the cottage. Seeing a light in a house we called there and it was thankfully Mrs Murray who jumped in her car and took us round. Once inside she gave us a tour of how everything worked and the cottage was warm and cosy. We had fresh eggs, biscuitsRead more, chocolates what a warm welcome. We had a great week, could not fault anything and if ever in that neck of the woods again would really hope the cottage was vacant. Hide

Another lovely week in Branta Cottage. The cottage is cosy and has everything you need for your stay. There are lots of places to visit locally and good eating establishments. Lots of geese to see and hear from the cottage and we were able to see the bore a couple of mornings.

The cottage was warm and cosy. It had everything we needed to cook from scratch. The shed was great for us to store our bikes. Mrs Murray was chatty, friendly and generous. We loved the eggs from her hens! The wintering geese and ducks on the estuary were a delight to hear and see. The very high tides were interesting too. Very comfortable and warm cottage with everything you could need.If there is one negative is that the shower is not powerfull at all and it just dribbles out, but Mrs Murrey left us chocolates and biscuits which was very nice we would go back.
