Gather family or friends for a restful Highland escape at this spacious cottage, surrounded by rolling hills and open skies in peaceful Lerags Glen. Despite the remote location, you’ll find a pub serving up hearty meals 1.5 miles from the property. Nearby Oban (4.5 miles) has shops, cafés, restaurants and harbourfront attractions within easy reach, and you can sample fresh local shellfish on the quayside. Known as the Gateway to the Isles, the town also has excellent ferry links from South Pier to Mull, Colonsay, Tiree, Lismore and Barra, while a water taxi leaves North Pier for nearby Kerrera. Step back in time at Dunollie Castle (5 miles) or Dunstaffnage Castle (7.5 miles). For a seaside day, pack your beach bag and head to Ganavan Sands (6 miles) or Dunbeg Beach (8 miles), where you can also explore the wonders of the marine world at the Ocean Explorer Centre.

Everything is arranged on one level, starting with the comfortable and homely open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. Large windows frame the countryside and fill the room with natural light, while the wood burner and Smart TV set the scene for laid-back evenings when you’ve been out in the fresh air all day. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for catering for your group. There’s also a handy utility room where you can dry off coats, muddy boots, outdoor gear and pets. For sleeping, you’ll have super-king-size bedroom that can be arranged as a twin – this benefits from an en-suite shower room and patio access. There’s also a second super-king-size bedroom with patio doors, plus a king-size bedroom. The fourth bedroom is a single with a pull-out bed suitable for a child. A family bathroom completes the accommodation.

Patio doors lead out to the fully enclosed garden, which has seating areas at the front and rear so you can make the most of the loch and glen views. The wellness area features a wood-fired hot tub, panoramic-window wood-fired sauna, cold-water soaking bucket and outdoor hot-and-cold bath. There’s also a wood-fired pizza oven/chiminea, garden furniture, lounge chairs and festoon lighting, plus a BBQ for relaxed outdoor feasts. Ample private parking makes arrivals and departures easy.
