Discover the beauty of Dumfries and Galloway with a stay surrounded by dramatic coastal landscapes and peaceful countryside. This family-approved holiday home is in Kippford, an idyllic holiday destination on the edge of the Urr Water. This destination is a hotspot for sailing and other water-based pursuits, with a local sailing centre around 100 metres away and plenty of pubs and cafes to drop into after your adventures. Follow the scenic Jubilee Path from here to the neighbouring village of Rockcliffe (4 miles), where a sandy beach with rocky outcrops provides the perfect spot to stop and breathe in the energy of the ocean. No Scottish retreat would be complete without a round or two of golf, and you’ll find four courses within a 10-mile radius, including the championship Southerness Golf Club (10.5 miles).

Naturally illuminated and spacious throughout, this two-storey holiday home provides a peaceful, uplifting base for your Southern Scotland stay. Take two steps up into the roomy hallway before making your way into the kitchen. Although traditionally styled, this kitchen has been equipped with everything you may need to rustle up tasty dishes for the whole group, and dining together is a doddle at the central breakfast table. Next to it, the functional utility room has been designed to help you keep on top of the laundry during your holiday. Find a second space for dining in the lounge/diner, a room with comfortable seating ready for mealtimes, board games or switching off in front of the Smart TV. Sweeping views out across the garden and towards the Urr Estuary elevate this space, and you can watch local wildlife pass by while resting and recharging here. Make your way from here to the ground-floor bedrooms. The largest of the rooms is a delightful family room with double and single beds, complete with a handy en-suite shower room just beside it. The second bedroom is a king-size, equally spacious, with a comfortable seating area. This room is easily served by a family shower room. Make your way up the stairs to the first floor, where a landing area has been designed with comfortable seating and bookcases to create a cosy space to play games or escape with a novel. This blends effortlessly into the twin bedroom with its en-suite WC, a perfect spot for two younger sharers.

This property comes into its own in the summertime, benefiting from a large grassy garden and a dedicated summerhouse. The wood-panelled summerhouse provides refuge from the blazing sun, complete with furniture, a gas BBQ and a selection of lawn games. The large lawn then gives way to a decked patio area, furnished with an outdoor table and chairs. Ample off-road parking is available at the front of the property.

A lovely house in a beautiful setting. Very clean and well equipped with everything necessary for creating lovely meals. Massive amount of parking and a pretty and spacious summer house to relax in. Caretaker Angela is so helpful should any issues arise. Will definitely be back.

Anthony House 9th June to 16th June 2025 Pros Spacious House Very Clean Quality Linen and Towels Log Cabin Cons Generally poor managment e.g. Windows were locked and no keys to open them We had to ask for them and were told That managment would have to phone the owners as she did not know where the keys were!!! Refuse.Read more.the landfill bin was jam packed and imovable, the manager said she would have to do something about it. We ended up having to difpose of our landfill in council bins around Kippford. On arrival Angela asked if we knew how to set up the TV. To unlock the Patio door, as there was a lock up at the very top (as well as the bottom) it required me to stand on a chair (not advisable at 76yrs) No need for the top one to be locked. We will be back as we liked the house I assume the issues will be rectified. Denis Baldock Hide
