We had a lively time staying at Ornockenoch house - everything was clean and tidy, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and bedrooms were comfortable. There was plenty of space in the living room and dining areas as a party of 9. There were excellent views of the loch from the front of the house and it was nice to be surrounded by nature. ThRead moree owner was easily contactable and any minor issue we had was resolved quickly - I would recommend staying here and would love to go back at some point! Hide

My family had a wonderful few days here. The house is very large and gave all 13 of us plenty of space to not feel crammed in together. The area is also beautiful with plenty of walking experiences. My grandchildren loved the freedom they had. The only drawback was the untarred road to the house. There are lot of very large, deep holes in the rRead moreoad, which can cause damage to wheels/tyres. Some of these holes are impossible to manoeuvre around. The other very minor things were that there were no cleaning clothes to clean tables/dishes etc. we had to use one of the many tea towels until we got to a shop in Gatehouse of Fleet. We also had to acquire kindling for the fire pit and lounge fire from the house close by. No kindling had been left. These 2 are very minor indeed, but thought it best to mention! Hide

Lovely house in a beautiful location. Plenty of room and adequate parking. Easy access on arrival. The garden area around the patio was very overgrown and a little pricey. We loved paddle boarding on the Loch, a little too weedy for swimming, probably due to lack of recent rainfall.

14 of us gathered at the end of October to celebrate our friend's milestone birthday. Ornockenoch House was perfect. It was big enough for all of us, and we never felt crowded. The kitchen was well stocked so we could cook together, and all eat and celebrate at the dining table. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were pleasantly decorated, anRead mored warm. There were so many places to walk, and the beautiful views from the house inspired new trails. We even took a dip in the Loch. (Some of us for slightly longer than others)! Thank you, Liz, it was wonderful. Hide

We had a two week family get together in Ornockenoch house and the accommodation was a true home from home complete with a 4 oven Aga. The local area had more than enough to keep us happy for 2 weeks but the highlight of our stay was the wildlife in the garden. The morning check on the trail camera was eagerly awaited revealing Jays, Buzzards, FoxeRead mores and Pine Martens. Hide
