My wife and I , along with our Jack Russell Tara, stayed at Croftdean at the beginning of November. We found the accommodation fantastic, very spacious and great location. We would happily return. One or two minor points which I feel need pointing out and in no way a criticism. The property is situated on a main route and as a store in Colvend for Read moreessentials. It is probably a 10 minute walk away. Anything else, pubs, cafes, takeaways require a car. We knew that as have visited the area for a number of years. When leaving the property in a car, care is needed as it is a fast road and your vision is slightly restricted. The heating works fine but we were not familiar with the use of the log burner and the central heating which was strange as there are no radiators. We managed fine but felt that some information relating to domestic appliances, the log burner and heating would have been useful!! Great holiday despite the weather! Hide

A nice comfortable house with ample parking and everything you need for a home from home. One or two little details would make it even higher on my rating, such as a toilet roll holder in the main bathroom and a shelf or cabinet to lay things like toothbrushes around the sink. The heating pipes in the cupboard in the twin bedded room do make someRead more noise when it is running overnight. One other thing is the exit on to the road from the cottage is quite obscured, a mirror on the opposite side of the road as others have would be an advantage or next doors foliage cut back. The verandah outside was lovely to sit out on and relax on nice days. Hide

We enjoyed our stay at Croftdean. The property is well presented and maintained. About five minutes by car to Sandyhills, Rockcliffe and local shop. We were concerned about the shared drive but it was not a problem during our stay. The front garden is enclosed with heavy metal gates and a strip of wood to stop smaller dogs escaping . We would stay Read moreagain. Hide
