A cosy base within the bustling town of Selkirk, this duplex apartment offers a warm Scottish welcome. Sleeping three guests, the holiday home could be perfect for a couple or small family. Step straight out from the doorstep to explore the vibrant hub that is one of Scotland's oldest Royal Burghs and is known as the gateway to the beautiful Ettrick and Yarrow Valleys. Wander the shops, stock up on local produce and ponder in a friendly pub serving a range of Scottish whiskies. Take time out to wander the magnificent Haining, just 300 metres from the apartment, with its landscaped grounds and lochside parkland. Venture 12 miles to Dryburgh to walk beside the River Tweed and stroll to the William Wallace Statue to take in the far-reaching views. Scott’s View, also 12 miles away, is another fabulous spot for enjoying the sweeping vistas of the Scottish and English borderlands.

Make your way up to the apartment and head straight through to the cheery kitchen to deposit your shopping. Make a cup of hot tea to enjoy with a piece of tasty shortbread and then choose whether to unwind in the window seat in here for a spell. The kitchen also encompasses all the equipment you will need to help you cater for yourselves during your stay. Dine at the round table in the evening before heading through to the lounge to enjoy each other’s company from the comfort of the soft seating. Watch TV, play a DVD or listen to music. When you are ready to head off to bed, the double bedroom on this floor awaits. The family shower room is also at this level. Climb the stairs to the single bedroom, which nestles in the attic space and has some restricted headroom.

There is no outside space with this apartment, but guests are just 300 metres from the Haining with its beautiful parkland. Parking is on the street in Market Place, 100 metres away, subject to availability.

Great cottage in a lovely location up a fairly bumpy track. Great view up and down Strathtay. The cottage is large, well equipped and well enjoyed our stay. I would stay again but, only if I knew the showers had been upgraded. There are two showers in the cottage and both are badly in need of an upgrade as the pressure is very low (although the tapRead more pressure is fine), hence four star rating rather than five. Other than that, everything was great and we all really enjoyed our stay. Hide

A fantastic old property which has been modernised to high level while retaining old features. Situated high on an hillside amongst stunning scenery with a garden equipped with swinging chairs, seating and bbq area. Fully enclosed garden for dogs and young children. It is well noted in the property details that the last 700m drive is on a rough traRead moreck. You do have to take care but well worth it when you reach the property. Hide

The cottage is great. Breathtaking location and views. Fabulous enclosed garden that we and our dogs adored. The kitchen has everything you need and bedrooms are comfortable . The only negative was, the smell in the downstairs bedroom. There had been a leak from a radiator in room above and although it had been rectified and redecorated. There waRead mores a damp smell in the room that needs some addressing. And to point out the TV only works on the apps, and my digital dinosaur tech skills found too difficult to figure. The area is beautiful with lots to do and entertain. We usually head for the west coast highlands, but would definitely come back here and hopefully use this cottage again. Would be useful to have some more extensive local info/maps etc. You can join the Rob Roy Way from the back of the garden, but only found that by luck because we walked up it from Strathtay Many thanks for a wonderful week. The property is located up in the highlands above the valley of the river Tay. It is the most picturesque setting and truly breathtaking. Its a little bit of a trek but worth it. The house is beautifully decorated and well furnished- perfect for a large family group. The location is well placed for exploring the local area and theres plenty to do.

The cottage was lovely, but it lacked a few basic things, the guy who came at check out was unfriendly and rude, The track is unstable for anything but 4x4 damage to car sustained. They are now chasing for damages after letting sheep into garden.

Lovely location and beautiful views from this converted farmhouse... bedrooms are spacious and facilities are excellent... my only criticism would be that considering the house is advertised as for up to 8 guests, the seats in the lounge do not accommodate this well. All 8 of us could not spend time comfortably sitting there. Other than that, our eRead morexperience was great! Hide

We really enjoyed our stay in Tullypowrie cottage. It looks newly decorated, was exceptionally clean, and very well equipped. Instruction manual was well organized and sufficiently informative. The views were amazing and the road toward the cottage was not as challenging as we thought it might be, given it is a farm track. Plenty od parking was avaRead moreilable at the property. We were kept very cosy with temperature set up at the property. We enjoyed the fireplace very much. The beds were comfy, bedrooms were spacious. The only little downside was a low shower pressure in the shared bathroom. But that wouldn't stop us from visiting again. Hide

We had a wonderful stay at the Tullypowrie cottage! It had everything that we needed for our 3 night stay. The cottage is nicely decorated and feels very comfortable. The directions to the cottage were easy to follow so we didn't have any trouble finding it. What an INCREDIBLE VIEW! I mean....WOW! From listening to the river running off in the Read moredistance to the sheep grazing in the surrounding pasture, this was the peaceful retreat we were looking for. We didn't want to leave! Communication with the host company was smooth and they provided any information we needed for our stay. I couldn't recommend this cottage enough. We will definitely be back!!
