House was well positioned and attractive but there were a number of snagging issues. Doors that wouldn't open or close properly, microwave didn't work properly, instructions missing from folder, no plastic plates or cups for young children. That said we did however have a great holiday and would book the property again.

We had a fantastic stay at Driftwood for our New Years Eve celebrations. You were a wonderful host, and we especially appreciated the beautiful Christmas decorations, the fizz provided on arrival, and the chocolate reindeers for the children. So kind to arrive to such a lovely welcome. Thank you. Our party included grandparents and young children Read moreunder five, and the house was perfectly equipped for everyone. It was lovely, warm, and incredibly relaxing. The property was spotless, with no dust or pet hair. We also found the beds and showers to be great, and the kitchen was excellent, featuring a coffee machine and everything else we could possibly need. The location was fantastic, offering a lovely walks over to Rockcliffe and easy access to forest trails. The views and scenery of Kippford were truly incredible. Additionally, we enjoyed the family-friendly places nearby for drinks and the convenient access to town for shopping and takeaway options. We would recommend this property 100% - we just hope it isn't fully booked so we can visit again! Hide

We had a fabulous week staying at Driftwood. The house is lovely and has everything in it that you need to enjoy your holiday. We were lucky that the weather allowed us to enjoy the balcony which was an added bonus in espevially as it was October. Having my eldery mum wirh us, the lift was ideal and allowed her to move safely around the house. DrifRead moretwood is in a perfect spot to allow you to travel to different locations in and around the Solway Coast. The circular walk to Rockcliffe was the perfect morning walk with the dog stopping off at The Ark for a coffee and scone on the way back. Kippford also has a lovely community nature reserve which is great for a quick walk with the dog and to meet the locals for a chat. Would highly recommend a trip to Loch Arthur Farm shop both to enjoy something to eat and to stock up on the great produce available there. Best ice cream can be found at the Gelato hut at Ernespie Farm located on the outskirts of Castle Douglas. The Steamboat Inn at Carsethorn serves great food and it is a very scenic drive to get there so definitely worth a visit if staying at Driftwood. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the house to others wishing to holiday in Kippford or the surrounding area. Hide

Fabulous house for my Mum and Dad my brother and sister in law and my husband and me. Dad has mobility issues due to Parkinsons and with the lift and easy access shower we were able to care for his needs with ease. Thank you for a beautiful home with gorgeous views and easy access to Kippford. We hope to be back.

Driftwood was the perfect house for our 2 week stay. It is beautifully decorated, it had everything we needed and was light and airy. The owner was responsive and generous in the welcome gifts. The house is perfectly located for daily local walks and only 25 mins from Dumfries. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning.

Driftwood is a stunning home in a beautiful location. Driftwood was spotlessly clean with top of the range furniture, appliances, bedding, towels etc. This all made for a very comfortable stay. The lift in Driftwood was amazing especially as we are both disabled. I loved the log burning stove(s). It was nice to have the log burner on at night especRead moreially as the temperatures outside really dipped. The completely enclosed large garden was lovely and our whippet simply loved having the freedom to wander about. Sue the owner was very attentive and most helpful. In short I can't recommend Driftwould highly enough. Hide
