Make your way to the coastline via the picturesque village of Kippford (5.5 miles), a vibrant sailing centre where water sports and nautical adventures are available in abundance. A little further still, Sandyhills (7.5 miles) boasts a pristine sandy beach, perfect for summer days by the sea.

From the entrance hall, make your way into the kitchen, complete with its original Aga, charismatic stone walls and cooking utensils displayed decoratively. From here, take a solid wooden staircase up to the first floor, home to the spectacular dining hall with stone-flagged flooring and a sweeping table. Next door, the sitting room offers a cosy space to unwind, with soft seating arranged around a grand open fire and an abundance of books for your entertainment. While a TV is not permanently installed, one can be provided on request. Continue through the property and take the spiral stone staircase up to the second floor in search of the sleeping quarters. The first two bedrooms can be found here, alongside a family bathroom with a delightful roll-top bath. One is a double with an exceptional four-poster bed and luxurious linens, while the second is a king-size room, also featuring a four-poster bed. Stairs lead up to the third floor, where the final bedroom in this wing is a charming double. Exit via the courtyard to access another part of the building, which hosts two additional bedrooms. Both are beautifully decorated king-size rooms, and each benefits from its own en-suite shower room.
The extensive grounds surrounding the property are yours to explore, complete with a charming courtyard, sunken lawns, peaceful riverside spots and benches that invite you to sit and enjoy a morning coffee. The furnished courtyard features outdoor seating, a hot tub, and a convenient hose for cleaning bikes and outdoor equipment. Ample private parking is available for up to eight cars.
